Dead is Bored Pt. #1: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10469478/
Dead is bored… again. Well, less so than he was last time he did this (it’s just the shtick he’s sticking with).
So, today marks one full year of pretending I can write stories and make silly pixel art animations. One full year of posting my nonsense and one full year of actually being active on the site. It’s been quite a thrill ride with the only lows really being my own insecurities and paranoia telling me to just stop (still beating that back for now). Anyways, to celebrate my “FA Birthday”, I thought what better way to celebrate than to direct everyone who reads through this to artists, writers, musicians, and more that I find incredibly talented and am personally always looking forward to hearing more from.
*PF – personal favorites recommended by FtD to give anyone interested a starting point*
This time, I want to start with something special:
- An extremely talented glass sculptor. They’ve an extraordinary collection of pieces they’ve put together and each and every one of them are absolutely phenomenal.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50891352/
- Does occasionally write some shorts which I find quite imaginative, but I also like to pop into their Twitch stream whenever I can. (https://www.twitch.tv/adelen_solyra)

Something I love doing when I’m just browsing the site or reading over other’s stories is listen to some music and the following users make some positively incredible tunes to listen to:
- A modern day Mozart with scales and horns. A wonderfully talented musician that does classical pieces. I want to put his stuff in that game “Beat Saber”… yes, classical music in a fast-paced, rhythm game because that just sounds amazing.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50402547/
- Mostly does writing, but recently started posting some great guitar tracks that help me visualize some fascinating scenes in my head.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52334784/
- Honestly, I kind of forgot how I found JTomic as I’m not that big on Electronic music, but I’m glad I did. Since having found him, my playlist on Spotify for when I’m going for jogs is now peppered with some of his stuff.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49964690/
- Been a bit quiet for a while, but does have some great tunes that I’ve gone back and listened to from time to time.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51408619/
- I’m not huge on anime (too short of an attention span to get invested), but nobody can deny that anime themes are amazing. Wesley’s work is typically that fast-paced, high energy deal that goes perfectly with fight scenes or beautiful scenic views that one would probably expect from big-time animes.

Although the most abundant artistic media on the site is more traditional artwork, whether sketches or paintings or digital, I have a hard time deciding on what I like in artwork. Plenty of the images I find are impressive and vastly superior to anything that I could ever hope to create, but the following are just a few artists that I personally keep up with.
- Sketches and paintings: beautiful scenery, still images, and even portraits.
PF - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51161062/
- Nearly everything Folvo draws up will almost immediately trigger one to six different stories in my head.
PF – https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41310809/
- If you decide to check out my personal favorite from Silver, I just want you to know that they claimed it was one of their “simpler” pieces… yeah, nothing shy of outstanding.

Finally, a collection of some of the writers who have caught my attention. Honestly, this part is the thing that was keeping me from putting together this iteration of “Dead is Bored” because I am a very insecure individual and find just about anything from the following far superior to any of my attempts at writing. I get everyone has their own style, but I do genuinely suffer some rather jealous notions just reading through their work. I’m trying to push past that, but that’s a work in progress and I’m hoping that sharing this might help be a step in the right direction for getting over my own personal flaws. I will not be sharing what exactly I enjoy about their stories as some vary with themes and I also do want anyone reading through this to check the following out sometime.

Alright, that’s far more than I, and probably everyone else, expected from this one, but it’s been a little while since the last one. This has been “Dead is Bored 2” and I do strongly urge anyone reading over it to take a minute to check out some of the individuals listed here; they are all incredible at what they do and the few I’ve had some form of communication with have been very pleasant to speak with.
Suddenly weirdly sleepy but now a bit entertained,

Again, you can write. You have written, keep believing in yourself and writing.
I genuinely never thought I'd get this far. One year ago today and I was thinking I should just delete this account, but then I see your first comment on my first post. I'm not great at it and I've a long way to go, but I probably would have quit before I really got started if you hadn't said something, so thanks much for that once again.
Trust me, if I posted with the strength that I felt in my writing, nothing would ever be posted
Vix
I'm very grateful you think I'm getting better at this whole writing thing, Vix. Unfortunately, the unsureness is just ingrained in me. Maybe one day I'll overcome it, but that's kind of why I'm here: pushing myself to get to that day.
Let go, remind yourself you have all done it before.
But please don't get wrapped up in deciding whose writing is superior. Creativity has no part of questions like "Is this good?" or "Does this suck?"
Unfortunately, I will always find something done far better than I could do and my head is screwed on just right to ponder why I even bother. I'm not too sure why I'm that way and I am working on it, but it just kind of happens. Nevertheless, while my stuff isn't great, it is fun to create.
Also as others have said, it's not a competition, find your own voice, you're doing just fine.
I do hope you enjoy the few you don't recognize if you decide to check them out sometime; they are all very impressive at what they do.
Sorry, I know it's not a competition, but I keep going back to that whole thing about how I just get participation ribbons while everyone else has gilded trophies. I'm working on it though!
Oh, wait, you meant mental suffering from the writing grind...
What does this mean?
Also, new Celtic icon, nice!
And thanks! It's from an AI generated image however I thought it captured Paula's appearance quite nicely in many respects!
I'm really enjoying your stuff too. I just gotta find more time to read it!
