Cooking things up for the end of the year

If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe - Carl Sagan
I have learned that it's very easy for me to fall into my own projects and forget to update things and then it's a couple months later. I will work on this.
I hope yall are doing well and staying safe. I'm writing this journal for a few reasons, the first of which is to thank yall for your comments and support.
Yall seemed to really like Alone in the Stars, and I appreciate all the comments that have been left on it. I felt like it was one of the first times I really leaned into trying to tell a story, instead of simply having a story as a vehicle for kinks. Turns out you don't have to pick one or the other X3 I also really enjoyed doing it, and it's kind of shaped how I've written stuff going forward.
Mostly, its changed my editing process. Up until now I've gone on instinct when it comes to touching a story up. I'd rewrite a few passages here and there, but I mostly was going back through and looking for clunky wording or typos. A couple weeks ago I chanced on a book called The Story Grid by Shawn Coyne, which lays out a method to determine if a story works and how to go about fixing it. I'm still putting what I've learned into practice, but I like the results so far. It's also liberating to take some of the guess work out of this and I haven't been this motivated to write in a long time.
Which means I've got some stuff behind the scenes.
I wrote a story for my partner Smallergod's birthday back in August, and that's been mostly ready to post for a little while. I do want to give that another editing pass before I make that public though, because I think I can elevate that one a little more.
I've also got a couple stories for Garuda's Pokemon Art Pack~ They're btoh pretty substantial, and one of them is already the longest single thing I've written so far. I'm hoping to reach a level of quality you'd see from a published book with these, and I'm looking forward to getting them out there. The pack releases on December 25th, and I'll make another announcement when it's ready to go
Thanks for reading, and I appreciate yall's support <3
