Yikes! One of the furry fandom's old gautd and founder of Confurence the first furry convention has suffered a series of strokes that's racked up a mountain of medical bills. I made a donation. I've seen first hand what a stroke does to a person and I can tell you it is NOT pretty. I've also seen what brain bleeds do as well. That is NOT pretty either. I don't wish the pain and suffering these two things do even on my worst enemies out there. So this situation with the founder of Confurence hits close to home.

I'm really worried for Sy to the point where I feel like he might not make a full recovery. He's such a great guy and a good friend. I used to hang out with him quite a bit in VR Chat. We had a really awesome chat that went on for what seemed like 3 hours at MFF '22, talking about furry fandom history n stuff. At MFF '23, I could sense there was something a little off about him. He seemed a little more reserved than usual. I didn't think much of it at the time.
