From our discussion, I would strongly advise looking into 16Go of RAM at minimum. Two bands of 8Go will grant better performance than one (it's called Dual Memory Channel), it's worth investigating.
But beware of the compatibility with the other components!

True but i also need the space for it, now one card has taken lots of slot space and the lower one will probably block the one in the bottom. One is also already pricey so 2 hmmmmm.

Test the system with another gpu, so you avoid getting hung up on the wrong component

A reasonable idea and a good test indeed, however i don't have a second gc lying around nor do i have one that could handle the games. Don't think i have people who would lend theirs either. This sorta happened to my other one years ago in the middle of a heroes of the storm game match. It didn't used the fans tough, just went dark.

What's the full build of the computer? Does the cpu get taxed when the problem occurs? Is your memory usage capped out? Does your system have the same amount of memory as when it was in good condition?

Is the monitor old? Is the cable of the monitor old?

Does the issue occur only when gaming/rendering?

These are questions that should be answered before the internet can really help actually solve the issue, there's never too much information.

It worked fine for like +-3y now and i only recently started getting it badly so am leaning on it's either wearing out or i did something that i can't remember that might be the issue. Like i remember now with posting here i bought enshrouded recently and it said my drivers of the gpu was outdated and finally used nvidea gforce experience to update em. So not a clean install i guess but i also remember with fiddeling in it that i had performance on automated so maaaaabbyyyy the thing is auto over performing and making it crash ?? Gonna switch back and see if that was is.

Monitor is a few months older so not that old and cable is also the same. Don't think the monitor would make the fans go full blast if it wouldn't work.

Oh so true, just sucky it's not that old and already geting issues like a few months back an ssd died and now this. Plus at the beginning one of the cpu cooler fans got a whine and diden't work propperly.

Agree with chu that best thing would be probably bringing it into a shop and having them test it. They usually have other GPU's lying around so they can take out components and make sure that's were the bottleneck is.

Though based on what I read from Kibaura the heck you running 8gb of ram only?!?! Wouldn't be surprised if that's hella taxing your system too cause like, 16 is bare minimum these days with 32 being 'a good safety net'. I don't know if that has something to do with rendering but I know sure as heck it isn't helping having such a low amount of RAM.

Yea, them shops have the better gear and know how to test things.

Hella no, i got ultra safe and went for 64gb of ram. Only issue now is that 10vram of the card is on the edge i think as now it's common 12 to 16.

Ahhhh ok, yeah, might just be the card then unfortunately. Especially when it comes to rendering, that process does tend to eat cards alive if they aren’t up to snuff for it. Probably worth seeing if a shop can put in a different card just to see and make sure that isn’t just the issue.

Is that 65 degrees Idling or under load? Under load that good.. Idling thats bad and needs cleaning and possible re-paste and pads..
Are you running under 16gigs ram? if so ya going to have a file swap issue..

Updated drivers CLEAN install. Over clocked ? reset factory default etc...
Carefully pull the board clean it and reseat card and power cables and find a way to support the card on the unsupported side. it might be twisting in the slot.

Worked like a charm for years (+-3y), just had it once a long time ago but now seems to bed more frequent when gaming.
I switched a bad ssd drive a few months ago but that's on the other side of the case. Other then that i don't recon anything else.

Load, i sorta noted it with games, enshrouded 65 ish, hearthstone 47, forever skies 68. Gonna see with more games and come to think of it gotta test that out with a render.

No idea, with enshrouded it gave a warning that they where outdated and i always ignored the pop up from nvida as well as avg saying it was outdated. Then i signed into the geforce experiance app that i had and let it do it's thing. Then the warning was gone on enshrouded so no idea if this would have wiped it and went all new or just patched it.
I don't think i overclocked my rig. Watched a lot of vids about it but never dared to fiddle with the options and change things.
Yea might have to do a deep clean, also just watched a recent jay2cent vid about the pads going bad over time from load and stuff so might be that.
Oh i have had a support on it from the start knowing it would sag. Just a piece of plastic that stand at the end of it to keep it straight.
I just hoper i can acced that clip on the board that holds the gpu as it's so beefy.
