Magykit appearance in depth
Magykits are a small magically inclined intelligent species of ground dwelling mammals. They resemble a mix of squirrel, cat, fox and rabbit. They stand at a max height of 4 feet tall not including the height of their ears. They have two sets of both ears and eyes . All magykits have one set of lower facing ears that give them a sort of tremor sense when it comes to listening to movement in the tunnels below them. This set stays stagnant and always face down and slightly forward. The second set is set higher up on their heads and swivel at will in all directions. The top set is either the same size or larger than the lower set. Unless brought on by a rare mutation all magykits have two sets of eyes. One large set and one smaller set just above. Both pairs of eyes can focus in separate directions at once. Magykits can have the condition heterochromia however it never results in more than two different eye colors. Culturally it is common to see magykits cover one set of eyes at a time when traversing above ground for quick acclimation to returning to the dim warrens. All magykits possess the ability to summon floating orbs of light. Magykits also have extremely long tails ranging from the same length as their overall height to three times their height. Their tails are very nimble however they are not prehensile. They have rodent-like hands with fingernail-like claws and small pads. They stand bipedal with digitigrade legs that have large thick thighs that tapper into cat-like feet with paw pads and fur growth similar to cats.
Magykits often only have up to three colors to their fur. Most of their fur patterns are simple with large markings, such as chest tufts “socks' and “arm sleeve” type patterns. Their tails are often ringed, tipped or solid colored. Magykits have mohawk like fur growth on their heads that trail down their necks. These mohawks can be small or very long and fluffy depending on personal preference. There are no noticeable differences between male and female sexs of the species beyond genital that is hidden under fluff. Gender is often fluid and unimportant to a magykit.
