Heh, sounds like a plan. It's equally ironic and comforting to know that I'm not alone in my quest to end solitude :P

You can watch some small twitch streams and monitor people while still being present. It gives you a good teaser for if you like those kind of people, and they always appreciate community engagement.

I have friends that stream and they get a lot of shy people, socially awkward people, and people from other countries that can’t meet anyone local. It’s pretty nice when they even get included and play games with the streamers.

I hadn't even thought of that. Granted I don't use twitch, but that's a really good idea. Might give me an excuse to go back into Splatoon 3

Out of my current social group, over half are people I met while watching my one friend stream. We had something in common already to talk about, the game, and then just got to know them better by playing with them, and eventually are just good friends now.

That's super encouraging to hear. I'm actually gonna set up a twitch account and figure out the rest (I don't game much anymore, but I blame most of that on my depression) Thanks again for the tip.

Also, sometimes it’s nice for shy or antisocial people to be able to… I dunno, kind of… watch other people without having to do the interacting yourself? But you CAN interact, but you’re not required to? I dunno, it’s like taking babysteps?

If you want to, you could check out my one friend that streams a couple times a week, his name is Domafox. He does play Splatoon, as well as many many other games.

I might give that a shot sometime.
