Just saw this on Gallacci's page. Yeah, another of the old guard gone.

I heard the news tonight, may he rest in peace

Gone too soon, RIP.

Dang. He is what got me into the fandom’s orbit back in 2004. He will be missed indeed.

As much as I respected Scott,he did tend to rub me the wrong way at times. But, he cared an awful lot about what he drew and was happy to answer any questions I might have for him. I will miss him.

Scott and I knew each other since 86, I was greatly worried when he went 'Radio Silent' the past 5 days. I called him yesterday morning to check in on him, left a voice message to return my call. Later that night found a couple DVDs he was looking for and called him again to let him know I was going to be mailing off a box of 14 films today. Thing was it went the full battery of 10 rings then to voice mail, Again I left the message to return my call. 5 minutes later  brombear calls me with the terrible news.

And Scott will get the Memorial drawing, just waiting on date of death along with a better photo of him to use. Plus he'll get the full color treatment, he ment that much to me.

My apologies to ask "Who is Scott Ruggels?", because when I hear "Scott", I think the user  scottbear , I don't know really and my condolences

I may not have known him, but he will be missed by you and many others, clearly. My condolences for your friend.
