My therapist wants me to get more into furry
a year ago
So I was telling my therapist about various things I used to be into and we talked about furry fandom, and he wants me to engage with it more, particularly drawing and expanding on my own characters and creating a universe for them. So maybe new art and blogs from me soon?? I am going to give it a try. Maybe. Drawing is so hard though T_T

That's a neat therapist to suggest this. They probably recognize the fandom as a source of creativity and inspiration for you. I noticed you have had a lot of stresses IRL too, when you came to my streams and talked to me recently I could tell how anxious you were and how many things were weighing on your mind. So I'd wager that you focusing on creating fiction (whether character-lore or art or whatever) could be a beneficial break from some of your bigger stresses. ^^

Yeah, he is a new therapist for me but I'm really liking him so far. He seems very intuitive and working on being in-tune to me personally instead of just giving me a cookie-cutter approach. My old therapist was not bad (she got promoted to some kind of special position, and she hand-picked this guy for me) but I think I will like this new one a lot more.

That's great. ^_^ Sounds like the sort of therapists I always worked better with too.

My own therapist had advised me to change my fursona a long time ago, to have an indication, an admission to myself that I grew as a person. It was most valuable

That's very interesting! Is that when you went from gecko to giraffe?

Yes, correct. The change was close to when I accepted being gay. Quite unintentionally fitting considering the giraffe turned out to be one of the gayest animals in existence
