I was originally going to college for a Liberal Arts major, but after some debating and reconsideration, I've decided to switch over to Developmental Psychology. Being a topic I'm both familiar and interested in, and therapists being in high demand but short supply, this is both a more sound decision and one that I would still be content with. Don't think I'm giving up on my dreams yet, I've still got my whole life ahead of me, and most filmmakers don't even direct their first feature until they're 36! I'm turning 21 this August so I'm not terribly concerned about never achieving my goals of becoming a film director, but I can still see Psychology as a means to better understand characters and human thoughts and emotions. As a neurodivergent individual, I've found many don't know what to do with me, and I feel I can provide unique insight into others who may be feeling the same way. Long story short, instead of drawing pictures till I can get into animation and hope to move onto a director, I'm going to be a therapist until I can write a screenplay that gets picked up.
