Hello everyone, I don't usually post very often, but recently some bastard has been stealing accounts on discord.
Basically social engineering attack.
He created a bot to hijack victims' accounts.
its operating mode is this.
He pretends to have the account of an acquaintance (who has already fallen for the scam and lost access to the account), pretends to have a problem, and asks to add a user as a friend, being a bot.
This bot, once added, will take access to his account and he will use it as if it were his.
Social engineering attack.
Everyone needs to be warned. Just don't take the bait and report the fake profiles, and the harmed people request prints of conversations, messages, and try to request a report and recover your account.
Much of this is due to discord, which so far has not spoken out to resolve the problem.
