RIP Dragoneer
I never knew him personally, but I think it’s safe to say his work has impacted me and this fandom immeasurably. This site isn’t perfect, but it’s honestly the best place for sharing art that I can think of. The notification system makes it so you never miss a single piece from a single artist, which I really appreciate. No algorithm bullshit like Twitter has. Not to mention galleries and folders make perusing an artist’s work a hell of a lot easier than Twitter’s media tab.
Not only that, I’ve honestly always kinda liked the unpolished sort of jankiness of this site. As a software engineer with minimal frontend skills, I think if I tried to make a website like this, it’d look pretty similar. I respect it a lot.
So rest in peace, Dragoneer. Your work will be appreciated for years to come, I hope.
With that said. I know the future of this site is sort of up in the air. If you want to follow me elsewhere, you’ll find me on:
- Twitter (as much as I just shit-talked it, it’s the place I’m most active)
- BlueSky
- DeviantArt (where I’ll put all my stories if this site does unfortunately go under)
I hope everything works out. I don’t want to leave this place.
