An update on life and such...

I have decided that I will NOT be leaving FA completely. I have deleted the vast majority of my galleries, and my JadeArchive FA account has been deleted and I still plan on migrating over to Weasyl for my online art gallery needs.

So why the change in decision? I have been working with a select group of babyfurs and FA staff members on telegram to attempt to help fix all of the babyfur/FA issues. And while I am hopeful that things are being updated for the good, I am still tentative about future outcomes. Bad staff have left, new staff are being on-boarded, things seem to be going in the right direction. But, for my part, the trust has been broken and I just do not want to risk my account being banned.

I am also part of a discussion telegram with babyfurs and Weasyl staff. We are working there to get a better understanding of things; clear upload policy, what is and is not mature when it comes to babyfur art, et al. I am way more excited about being on Weasyl based on the information I am privy to. I suggest you make an account and follow me there.

I will probably still upload here. But I will only upload art that has no way of breaking the upload policy. No wet diapers, no messy diapers, no potty pictures, etc. Only clean, non offensive art. I just don't want to fuck around when a mass report by bad actors can seriously harm the babyfur community for frivolous reasons.

Feel free to ask questions about my decision. I am always open to discussion.

I completely understand your optimism, guarded though it may be —I still have yet to be able to share such optimism with any who have expressed it. I do believe that things may appear to change for the better in the coming months, maybe even year or two, but I would not be in the least surprised if this site bans all babyfur art for example, someday, on the basis of showing “minors in their underwear” or some BS like that. My own trust is gone. I do continue to upload for my own benefit, some people still refuse to leave, after all… some friends I could only reach to here. But I do not have hope for the site. I wish I could because close friends of mine and people I respect greatly (like you) have been parts of the work toward improving the site. But I think my own trust is broken beyond repair.

I completely understand and agree with what your saying. I am trying to hold out hope. I may be misguided in that assumption. So for now, I will keep my account here (so no one snipes it) and I will post rarely. And I will keep my fingers crossed.

I also follow too many furs and artists I respect (like you! Your style needs to be in childrens books!!!!! Seriously) and I don't want to lose track of them.

I'm also in that cautiously optimistic wait and see mode as well, but I've got zero insider info, so all I have to go on is what the insiders are saying/doing.

If the bad staff have left, yourself and other babyfurs are in good communication with FA staff, and FA is really taking on more moderators of babyfur persuasion (I applied, haven't heard anything back), what then makes you feel like a future mass banning could happen again? That kind of implies that there's a feeling that the talks aren't sincere and/or the fixes haven't gone far enough.

Is it just purely the recent history of FA fucking us over several times in quick succession while lieing through their teeth?

For me, it’s your last sentence, minus the “recent”. I wish I’d saved the records I had of my convos with Neer where he told me “X or X will never be banned from FA”. Then bam, it was. Things change. Maybe they’re sincere now (I would bet they are, if I had to). But if a site has a history of screwing its members over, and over, and over again… at some point one loses their optimism.

I have always appreciated your art style and your opinions. This has been a rough ride here too. Somehow I think the drama is not worth it, but FA has the most convenient system for watching lots of good artists without learning a difficult system. Still part of me wishes more for a community that is AR/BF/DL/Transformation friendly and doesn't fall prey to "thought police" based on whatever the current politic is. Anyway hope to see stuff here, maybe I'll Weasyl later, we'll see.

I've also been working extensively with Weasyl, and right as i was on the verge of giving up on FA entirely certain things happened that made me think Sciggles isn't actually against us and is willing to make amends in real tangible ways. So i am also in the 'cautiously optimistic' camp, but also in the "its important not to have all your eggs in one basket' camp that I've always been in, so I'll continue to post here, Weasyl, Bluesky, pixiv, IB, etc.
