Hey all. Happy 2025.

I have been very quiet for the past few months and I owe you (especially my commissioners) an explanation. BFC at the end of Sept was great, but after I went home things with my back injury progressed poorly and I spent most of my working days at the day job in pain. I could not concentrate enough to draw after work and just had to spend my time laying down.

Some of you may know that I had my 4th back surgery on November 12th; an L4/5 fusion this time. It has not been easy. Because of my previous surgeries the doctors were forced to remove a large amount of scar tissue from the surrounding vertebrae as well as remove some scared back muscle tissue. While I am healing, it is taking much much longer than my previous surgeries. My body is not happy with the metal that now surrounds part of my spine nor is it happy about losing muscle. I have a projected 6-months to 1-year for full recovery.

I started physical therapy yesterday, and oh boy! my back hates it! Doing leg lifts, and planks causes me a huge amount of muscle pain. However, that is to be expected as my back muscles re-learn how to be back muscles. With time I will mend up.

So please bear with my silence on the internet. It is very hard to be motivated right now.
