Big agree! I personally am not a fan of seeing things like adopts so I was super excited when I saw the update. Unfortunately a whole bunch of people don't use the tags since they were kinda not that great prior to the update.

I have a ublock filter for adopts and reminders personally. The trouble I have about relying on tags is much like artists who want to show up in every search will add tags for everything on everything, artists who don't want to get filtered will now be incentivized to deliberately not include commonly filtered tags even when some number of tags become mandatory.

Been enjoying using the new tag feature.

FA should have a system like e621, which actually works, but that's almost impossible at this point.

They're planning on introducing a minimum tagging requirement in a future update, as I understand it. Hopefully soon

IB also has mandatory tagging. And for artists who are somehow still too lazy, viewers can submit tags (though the artist still has to accept those submitted tags) so at least in the long term those can be blocked from coming up in searches or other people's faves, etc. It's not quite E621's level of tagging but so far the best implementation I've come across.

Still, aside from annoyance with no tagging users, I guess there is the new feature to block anything that's untagged on here, so that's something? I do hope that doesn't block followed submissions, though. It's a little more scorched earth either way, but when it comes to people not tagging their stuff, you might be better safe than sorry.

I doubt we'll ever have a system that lets you avoid ever seeing content you don't like, at least not without ending up removing a lot of things you would want to see. Reducing the occurrence of that kind of experience helps a lot though, so I appreciate this feature (even though I'm the kind of freak who won't use it)~

Kind feels like they should also be rid of the gender and species categories as well. Feels unneeded especially when more than one character in the image are involved.

I do never use them personally x3 I figure adding breasts or penis and species tags serves the role fine!

Thankfully you can set your profile settings to block pictures with zero tags, so there's that stopgap for now. Hopefully mandatory tags comes soon!

Yeah unfortunately tag blocking is only useful of people are willing to accurately tag their own stuff.

I'd love if they took notes from Itaku and made it mandatory, which would help with future tag blocking/filtering processes.

Same!! I would love it if someone knew a good tag that I should have been using and could suggest it too!
