Marty here! It's down to 2 weeks now! Here the review of week 15!:
- In Las Vegas, The Bandits were doing what they could to make sure they weren't being caught up by the surging California Demons for a playoff spot. Unfortunately, Montreal was in town and they wanted to stay the course to try and gain home field advantage through the playoffs. While Las Vegas had some great defensive spots, including a Pick six by Donell Atwood, the main weapon of the Bandits, Slyvester Stapler, was snuffed out by the Royal Pass defense, as Stapler struggled (15/33, 104 yards, 2 Ints, 27,8 rating). Montreal did enough through the day, with passing and rushing to do what they needed to get a win, Montreal won this one, 30-10, and clinched a revenge tour for the playoffs.
- In New Orleans, both teams were fighting to see what they had in the ranks and were already looking to prepare for the offseason. In this particular game, it boiled down to a running matchup between Leone Lopez of New Orleans and Bubba Deezeen. Leone Lopez managed to run for 83 yards and even had a 62 yard Punt return. But the battle was ultimately won by Deezen, running for 156 yards and one touchdown. Nashville won this one 23-7.
- In Colorado, the Baltimore Ponies were holding on to slim chances to get to the playoffs, but hoped to get some momentum to end the year with the return of Jillian St-Claire. While St-Claire has been doing a decent job so far since her return, Baltimore offense had trouble getting any traction. But at least they kept the game close. But once more, Colorado was getting used to close games. Enter the rookie Erica Blache de la Rosa. A great draft pick up from this year, the orca once more had a brilliant day at the office, running for 149 yards, giving the Crushers plenty of space to get the points they needed. The Crushers won this one, 17-15.
- In Grand Rapids, the Dragons had a tall task ahead of them, as with a banged up offensive line, they faced an hungry North Florida Renegades, still fighting with Downriver for the top of their division. Dahlia Taylor seemed she would not be ready to return, but the Dragons had the return of Bobby Burnette. The veteran of the Dragons had a great return ( 17/29, 212 yards 2 TDs ) and surprisingly, the North Florida offense went totally cold at the worst moment. Grand Rapids totally shut down the ground game of the Renegades, Caryn Becker was sacked a total of 10 times, not being able to do nothing. Without Taylor, Daniel Van Baarle Risen up for the Dragons, receiving for 124 yards and 1 TD. Grand Rapids wins 27-10, still fighting for postseason football.
- In Downriver, the Waves were still doing their business in order to prepare for the playoffs, as Richmond was on their path. Once more the Waves showed a complete game, shutting down the Flames both on offense and defense. Also, in an already stunning season, Downriver QB Lillian Newman has grown her resume as she reached the 1000 yards gap in rushing yard, with a dazzling 192 yards rushing performance. Downriver wins 45-12, and they clinched their playoff ticket as they will fight to secure the division title.
- In Miami, the Tropics were trying to be a spoiler against the Austin Blues, as the Blues were having a rough couple of weeks. Against all odds, the game became a rather competitive one, as there was another rushing battle between Carice Kenton of the Blues and Jermaine Traylor and Roziah Hillock of the Tropics. Kenton ran for 160 yards while the duo ran 130 yards on the Blues in a combined effort. Ultimately it was a team effort that helped Miami topple the Blues, as Roy Virdi-Aqua also joined in the fun with a total of 97 yards returns on special teams. And also the good work of rookie WIl Hudson at QB for Miami sent the game in the Tropics way and put Austin in a dangerous position of not making the playoffs. Miami wins 30-20.
- In California, the Demons were red hot and were trying to push their winning streak as they shocked the Montreal Royal last week. Can they do it again against the defending champs? Chicago and California gave each other no room to breathe as the running attack was well controlled. Both defenses came to play, while Kiedo Masquarde played tough against Darius Smith. Both gave everything they have, but Chicago was barely able to pass more efficiently, as Darius Smith still racked up 350 yards and 2 TDs even with giving the Demons 2 INTs. Outlaws receiver Ricky Mitchell stepped up with 114 on the catch, including a 75 yards TD reception for Chicago. Chicago survived 17-14 and punched their ticket for the playoffs.
- It's a cold day in New York, but the sun rays still kissed the turf...And so did New York's new franchise QB Emi..That's unsanitary little lady. Regardless, the ex-Jpop Idol was finally back, and right in time. Easton was here to keep their season alive and nothing would be better than spoiling the young twin tailed cat's return.
The game started off slow, but with 35 seconds left in the 1st Quarter, the Defiant crowd cheered as loud as ever as Emi stayed firm in the pocket and delivered a strike to Masquerade for a 2 Yard touchdown. Her first Passing Touchdown since Week 10 when she threw a 41 yard bomb to Widmore against this same Bald Eagles team.

End of 1st.
Not wanting to repeat history Lindwurm dropped a 15 yard dime to Adler to tie things up early in the 2nd. Supported by a Virginia Pratt Field Goal to take the lead with 2 minutes left in the half. However Emi wouldn't be denied and after a drive of Emi chunk plays she'd finish the half with another 2 yd Tud, caught by Walker

Pratt etched their name on the stat sheet again with another FG, coming in the middle of the 3rd, cutting the lead to 1pt. But Emi was all smiles as she threw her Defiant down the field in 5 plays ending with a 25 yard dime to Matari for a Touchdown

End of 3rd
Easton started feeling the pressure. If they lost this game, their playoff hopes would waiver... However, NYD's stifling defense just wouldn't let them through, time was ticking but all Easton could do was punt. Unfortunately, they Gifted Emi a short field in the middle of the 3rd Quarter and Emi was able to cash in her 4th Passing Touchdown, this one to Widmore letting another reciever eat as if she was Oprah.
Easton started immediately driving feeling this important game slip away, but at the NYD 26yd line on 4th down, Murphy felt the ball slip away after taking it 11 yards passed the Line of scrimmage..Fumble and a Defiant recovery. That murdered the Bald Eagles chances at a comeback and in turn crippled their playoff hopes on what has been an incredible season. Easton still had a chance but it was out of their hands now.

Always feels so awkward when I realize both of my players are division rivals, makes it tough to know which one I should pull for. But since Colorado's doing better I'll ride their bandwagon
