Feels like the only real website out there, shout out fr, and shout out to all who still use it.
I've been getting back into it big times all other websites are just full of slop this is so fuckin refreshing., I got 30k submission backlog to go through but I've been working on it bit by bit
Also my favourites will look fucking excellent in the end, I wanna make them a goldmine for good arts.
Hahahah ah reality's disintegrating as we speak hahahah Hah good luck everybody good luck everybody I love you I love you I lovebyoub

FA+

This kind of layout puts some people off, but those people tend to be the ones who prefer those scroll pages and want everything to be that, so, good. those other platforms are made so threadbare and minimalist so anybody could use them, and it turns out that what works for the lowest common denominator doesn't really work very well for much of anybody for anything really worth doing. What some see as "inefficient" is, in reality, what makes it specialized for particular usecases it was made for.
Fur Affinity is a gallery with some light social aspects you can engage with or not if you choose. a lot of FA users don't do journals; some thank for faves and watches, some ask you don't thank them. send a clunky note with a flirty subject or open one for the heck of it. but none of that matters if not for the gallery format- some use it just to archive their social media digital illustration posts, some use for commission showcasing like you might post like 5 or six pictures of yourself on facebook in 2012 so people could find you, some use it to artistically articulate what the furry experience means to them, some make a page for a bit and do an art project and then leave it there, etc. but what you, the viewer, are seeing isn't any of that like social media- you're seeing a museum of museums dedicated to someone's personal expressions that they are comfortable sharing with the world, or at least a hundred furries who stumble across it. So, basically, what you're seeing is expression and social interaction that can't exist on the generic social media type platforms because of how geared towards the "lowest-common-denominator" they have to be.
as for reality, its just the faux reality social media algorithms got everyone believing. its gonna be okay, just will take time and some folks are just gonna have to retune their BS meter for some extra frequencies. but its not as bleak as everyone is feeling it will be, certainly not as bleak as things had gotten. at least that's what i want to believe.
