How about traditional art commissions? (Requests open)
Hello everyfurry!
I am thinking about anew commission option - aquarelle art (with colour pencils maybe) an\or black and white graphics.
I love traditional art but I never ever drew furry in this technic. Obviously, I can't take money for something I am not completely sure in, so... I need 5 test subjects. If you want a free traditional art - drop your refs and wishes here or contact me via Discord - snakecharmer . I can make a half or full body for you.
No strict deadlines. The result is unpredictable, but free!
The second point - I need your opinion about all of this. Could you be interested in buying traditional art if you get only a digital version? Do you prefer a colored or black and white art? Everything you can\want to say about it.
Thanks for attention!

i've bought traditional art and only got digital before so that doesn't bother me personally but i have also had some artist ship out the final when they had time or i met them at a convention.
as far as preference, color is always mine i feel it looks better as a badge but if it's just a fun sketch black and white is good too

I'm cool with color or black and white.

As for your questions: I wouldn't mind getting only a digital version, and I prefered colored art.
interesting concept, I think if your scanner is good enough for color to pop out it wouldn't take much away from digitizing it. otherwise black and white might be better to keep details.
you could try your charm on my dog with his snek tail theme I started a while back :>

(Or we can save it for a digital commission later :P)

Honestly though am not sure! Most traditional art I get is mailed or given to me, but I only have gotten it a few number of times, if youβre able to get the colors out then it works great!
Something to also consider is would it be possible to mail the art to your potential clients? Scanning could also work, but sometimes it won't translate well if there is color. I personally wish more artist offered traditional art options as I would love to have some of my characters.
If you are open to drawing a dragon, my handsome boy:Zyren
would love to be drawn traditionally π
Here is her ref and I prefer colored but I'm not terribly picky.
And if you need a test subject, here's one : https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51561349/

also there isnt that much of a difference between digital and physical if the image is photoscanned properly
