I've never understood how some 'Big Chain' anything (Restaurants, stores) thinks their bland, 'Institutional' color schemes would EVER please/attract Customers?! Years ago (I don't know if they still exist?), there was a large grocery store named 'Pak-an'-Sav' (sp?). Color of choice: BLAZING YELLOW!!! It literally gave me a headache walking into this horrendous 'Twinkie' and I only did it once!

Helluva way to drive OFF the Patrons, isn't it?

Most American fast food places are going dull and drab. It sucks.

A lot of restaurants are afraid of offending customers. When you're afraid of offending everyone you don't inspire anyone.

it looks fake, like its not even a real building. a crappy cgi model from one of those weird simulator games that uses the same assets as each other. there was one that got demolished near a friend's house and one time he drove me there because he wanted tacos after i got wendy's and i kept telling him i thought it was closed because it was so busy trying to not look like anything, the one car there looked abandoned, and the LED lights looked like automated security lights. some of the new computer system caught fire in november and it burned so they tore it down. its still just a bunch of rubble last time i was up that way.

if CEOs have brains they will use all the new regulation loosening to make their places exactly like the 90s ones everybody keeps talking about so much. its literally cheaper too.

Agreed. But sadly CEO’s don’t have brains, only money demons obsessed with greed.

A lot of places that used to be bright, cheery and colorful have changed into a brown or gray corporate friendly state. What it feels like is that the places we used to like as kids grew up too. And now they don't want to have fun anymore. And it feels that way inside and out.

Almost never go to Taco Bell since I discovered Chipotle.

It's because they don't want you to stay. They want you to get your food and leave. If the place isn't inviting, people aren't inclined to stick around.

I gotta be that guy .. that is not Mexican food.
