These people are trying to have some kind of impact on your life, becuase their own lives suck and they're insecure about it. The best thing to do is to ignore these people (block them if you must) and move on as if they never existed. They do not matter.

There are plenty of people who fake the ultimate outrage when confronted with something they've been brought up to either fear or despise. How many gay people rejected their natural attraction because they were brought up to believe that it was morally wrong? I'm not exactly sure if this is the same thing you're talking about. I know you mentioned things like kinks, but I think it's roughly the same phenomenon. I've met several people who told me they were straight, but turned out to be gradually more comfortable exploring or expressing their gayness or at the very least their bi-sexual tendencies. Overall, let them deal with their issues on their own time, and think nothing of their forced reaction.
