Ahem. Wonder how many pictures/uploads exist on FA that are of such a quality that nobody has ever looked at them in a decade or ever, in general. Except for the original uploader. Who has a copy of the data elsewhere. So they could just delete them. You know the stuff that you stumbled onto while browsingthrough the 8451741 YCH adoptible reminders and then instantly forget.

Except no website ever does that and I find it bizarre. The companies are moaning over the exabytes of data they have to somehow store, yet they could just nuke 80% of the shit nobody ever looks at. Just never really noticed how frequently I check FA for new contents and how it is the overall background hum of activity or reading comments from familiar sounding usernames that are part of the experience! And how that all grinds to a halt and then sucks. >:V

i do def think that reminder announcements should be deleted, i would love if they had self-destructing journals/posts as an option for stuff like reminders

Regarding successful artists like our esteemed Todex here, I think that preserving the oldest and "less than successful" artworks is worth it because it's cool to see how the art has improved over the years and solidified to what it is today.
Manually deleting it by administrators, well... let's welcome "human factor" and authoritarian administrators, that likely will be even worth that multibillion international corporations.
The only solution is... user be more self-aware, and delete their unused content on their own, yet, you will never be able to force 'em. Hoomans are stoopid. They will likely follow populistic idiots, and drag the whole society into idiocracy, just to prove, that you are wrong, and they are the smartest person ever, and they always know better.
Long story short, whatever we do - we're doomed.
Please, leave FA as it is, or else it will likely turn into DA.

IMO, tweet has evolved as a word and now it includes posts from any Twitter-like website, like Bluesky

If we can undo the damage that ChatGPT and whatnots will do to entire generations. Nobody in the future will be able to write any long texts on their own anymore, otherwise...
