Your Little Update On Ivy
I'm writing this journal just to have some emotional venting that I feel like I've been holding in! There's a lot to talk about, and I'm never much one to share my struggles! I prefer to appear lovely, radiant, and glamorous! Anyway!
I've been feeling pretty good recently. I just recovered from some illness. I can't taste much in the way umami or savory foods. It's actually pretty rank. But aside from that, I'm mostly recovered. I would give anything to not experience long covid again, thank goodness.
Wanting to write and actually writing are two distinct feelings that I've been having to overcome. I have a couple of projects on the backburner. I always bite off more than I can chew. Just when I thought I was getting back in the swing of writing projects, a new game to speedrun comes along. Did you know I do that?
Yes, I've been speedrunning the flavor of the month game R.E.P.O., and it's pretty good. YouTube has been going along nicely, some good traffic there. It's nice to actually pick up games and speedrun them without being overly frustrated as I had prior. Being in the sunsetting phase of some hobbies can be sad (specifically in reference to moving on from specific other speed games), but speedrunning keeps me fixated and motivated on something new and enticing.
I've always been an entertainer at heart. Luckily, the community surrounding the game has been rather nice. I don't feel as though my work is diminished or my efforts wasted.
I have a few commissions in the works right now. We'll see what happens to those!
Thank you to all who voted on the watcher preference poll! It's pretty cut and dry, but I'm glad that I have a wide range of enjoyment from my watchers on FurAffinity. In case you were curious, here were the results:
Sizeplay | 24.82% (34 votes)
Macro | 24.09% (33 votes)
Hyper | 21.17% (29 votes)
Vore (in general) |18.25% (25 votes)
Transformation | 11.68% (16 votes)
For a long time, I've felt like making a journal like this wasn't particularly appealing, but maybe I'm just in a good mood tonight and want my own personal little void to talk to.
I've been wanting to pick up Vintage Story or Don't Starve Together again, but the time commitment has me scratching my head. I'm at a point with some furry relationships where I want to like, actively be their friend but it's hard to push through that glass ceiling, as it were. It's hard to voice that without seeming pushy, right? I'm very shy, reserved, and am surprisingly normal when it comes to voice chat. Or at least I like to think so.
I finished Jojo Bizarre Adventure about a month ago. The entirety of it was highly enjoyable with some caveats. I like to appreciate the time capsules of the internet and read reviews and praise of the time, but some stuff ended up bothering me that, while my watching group had the opinion of, the vocal majority of the internet disagreed with. (I'm looking at you, Part 5.) I don't have much in terms of my media pipeline. I sparingly appreciate the media available in the world, but similarly to my enjoyment of Attack on Titan, Jojo's was very nice throughout.
Could you guess what part is my favorite...? https://i.imgur.com/JfFT8Je.png
I don't have too much to report on. I'm broke right now. LOL. Emotionally keeping afloat. I would love to do some popup story commissions in the future. If you want to give me money to write for you we can talk about it probably!

As for reaching out to friends or keep up with them, it IS very difficult. I tend to put mine in groups (literal Telegram groups) so I can keep in touch with them without having to repeat myself; it's like sitting in the living room and telling your flatmates about your day.
Are you comfortable with the being broke part? X) so long as you don't feel bad in that position...
Hope everything gets better for you, especially your sense of taste. Cuddles!
Hope the demi cat can navigate the less than good feels as they come up and remain a positive happy cat.
