The Power Company Fucked Up!

Yesterday I got a scam text on my phone claiming that $500 had been debited from my account for Paypal. I don't have Paypal. So I went to my bank just to make sure it was bullshit, and it was. But then the bank noted a strange direct withdraw from PGE for over $230. My last bill to them was for $126, and I mailed it off Tuesday. At first we were thinking fraud. But the amount taken from my account matches exactly to my parents' last power bill. So basically, PGE somehow used my account number to pay my parents' power bill when my dad called to pay them over the phone. And now they're about to cash a check for $126 on top of it. So we're gonna have to force them to return the money to my account. No idea what it's gonna take to do this. But we're not letting it go.
Anyway, I recently turned 39. Just a step away from the big 40 now.... But at this point I mostly don't care. Hitting 30 seemed a worse milestone for me. I'm a loner who draws porn. What shits do I have to give about my age to the world? Not many. But in typical fashion of my sister, she had my nephews on the day of my birthday because her ex-husband was away at drill. And she sure as shit didn't even have them call to say hi. So we figured we'd just wait a week and then celebrate. But no, my sister has the boys this weekend too. So we can't do anything until another week goes by. And it's eating my mother up, because we didn't celebrate at all. But my sister has kept my nephews from my birthday for years out of sheer pettiness towards our mother. In 2023 she took the boys out to Dave And Busters on my birthday, and promised she'd take me out another day to make up for it. That never happened. Then in 2024 my sister tried to forbid my nephews from ever visiting us again, and refused to even let them see us on my birthday. She lost her mind when later told that she doesn't have the parental power to prevent visitation anymore. And later on she tried to apologize to me. But I know her. She only did so because she knew how pissed I and her kids were at her. But she did zero to try and make up for it.
Anyway, as a bit of a birthday gift to myself, I ordered one of those extending steel baton things. Always wanted one. Just never got one till now. It's a 26 inch extending steel baton designed for self defense. I always thought them cool AF. But just never bought one because they were kinda expensive in store. But I saw one on Ebay for $35 and decided to get it as a "Why not!". It'll be a god weapon to carry on me if we have wildfires around here again and I have to go on patrols.
