Since Dragonair died, this feels like a déjà vu of what happened to Marvel after Stan Lee's death.

I've seen friends get banned for what was once considered acceptable on the platform. True artists have their accounts banned or simply doing what you did: moving to another site.

It's sad to see you go (yet another one), but I'm glad to know that at least you had the courtesy to remember your watchers and update your account information.

To be fair, this has been going back for a few years. The new admins haven't made things much better since though.

I will save that the site hasn't been the same ever since the whole massive purge and DoS that happen a little before covid. . . just changed alot of things in my view of the site but then again, this old boat, Riddled with bullets it still runs far better than many of the other places. Hmm.

Right. From the user's side, the site is okay for what it's supposed to be: A gallery. Granted, it's got the functionality of an early 2000's website, but it's usable and more appropriate than using something like Twitter. However, I wouldn't call it a bullet riddled boat: that implies the damage came from enemy fire.

I haven't been keeping up with the exact no-no list, but as long as nothing looks like a child in a place they shouldn't be, you should be fine.

I'd suggest Itaku, a lot of people have been moving to that site and it's a lot more user friendly intuitive than FA to be honest.

Sadly many furry sites kinda suck atm. FA you can be banned for anything they deem childlike, IB is rampant with AI and kills entire galleries of 3D artists stating its "real", and e6 has imposed some restrictions with child stuff (although I think it's mostly regarding shota/loli).
Weasyle, Sofurry, and Itaku are still pretty safe to my knowledge, but the prior 2 I rarely hear anything about so I don't know how active they are.
I'd say Itaku is currently the safest alternative. Stellarfur is nice too, but it has a forum format that may be a little unbecoming to younger furs.

There's something to be said for a website like Stellarfur having a design that young people bounce off of when its primary content is stuff you don't want young people to be looking at. Call it "defensive design" :D

Yeah only one I've ever seen use either of them is Narse occasionally uses Sofurry to post his high res arts

Life is okay, I can complain about a few things but not too much. I do plan on going to Another Furry Con again this year at least. It was pretty legit for a first time con.

I wish I had more opportunities to visit California, -I've actually only been in the state for one day over the past 9 years. I've heard good things about AFC and wonder whether I could make a go of working that convention. Hope it turns out to good for you!

Inkbunny was good but they've gone down the toilet and now allow A.I. 'art'. Be careful.

The old moderation team that was responsible for enforcing rules of first evolution pokemon (like riolu) were canned after significant outcry, but it didn't happen until after a significant amount of art was purged for non compliance for the old rules.

The new rules state that "lore" of characters depicted in the art are not going to be considered anymore, as it was far too large of a blanket ban (which also targeted babyfurs who were adults), but artists who do post content that would break FA's ToS on other sites will still be scrutinized more than others.

I can't say if the rules are fair or not. An artist I liked was pushed off due to the draconian " 'baby' pokemon = instant ban", but since she has returned after the old moderators were forcefully expelled and subsequently replaced, she has not had such warnings or labels placed on her work.

I'd love to see your art being updated here, as I am not in many other places and miss seein' your work here, but I don't know how you'd feel about it all after the previous rules.

I can only hope restrictions don't get vice grip tight again suddenly. So much art was purged and will never come back, most of it modern work and not older pieces, but it was eye opening for me how rule changes on any given site could just erase artwork without second thought or allowing for preservation.

Hypnotism was never a target on FA neither. Riolu and friends are fine to post again, though if they are tagged as young on any other site, it should not be posted here.
