Judging from the artist’s gallery, FA doesn’t seem to like adult chibi art because it may look like cub porn.

Really? FFS... the people who run this site really need to get over themselves; no one elected them to be the Morality Police. (And considering what else they allow to be posted here, chibi ought to be the least of their concerns if they're really that worried about the site's image...)

Reminder that child (cub), or even child-appearing (chibi) and child-adjacent (characters from kids' shows) porn is explicitly illegal in a lot of states in the US, as well as about half of Europe.

...to say nothing of Asia's often backwards anti-porn laws.

If FA weren't cockwombles about this sort of thing, they could lose their entire website, and the entire archive goes down. Everything from the vanilla cute pics, all the way to the horror-porn that has become the fandom's stereotype.

Weasyl put the same bans in, after everyone fled there to post cub porn, and the mods found out the legalities. As has literally every other archive site. They're covering their butts, because some folks passed laws stating that victims don't need to actually exist, in order to prosecute collectors, distributors and creators of underaged content.

It sucks, but that's how the law looks at it. This site is on thin ice and a pile of grey areas with all the fan-art it allows, as-is.

Great to see somebody who got his head on his shoulders, instead of always blaming the mods. I'd repost your answer everywhere if I could.

Ajin unfortunately got a style that is mistaken by many for cub art, and when I say "many" it is most often the highest-ranked people, those who make laws and those who apply them.

Trying to make FA accept this kind of art is totally counter-productive if it means putting the site in danger of breaking laws.

This is another sad case of free speech violation and art censoring, but should FA stand against this at the risk of being shut down? It supports so many artists, it is alas completely tied, unless it totally changes its very structure (server location and the likes)!

I'm considering other galleries. Just don't know which to pick. If pixiv didn't have a censorship policy I'd totally post it all there.

People post on Pixiv all the time without censoring.

Inkbunny would be worth looking into, I think. Some folks shy away from it because they allow a bunch of stuff there that FA doesn't, but -- unlike FA, their tagging and filtering system actually works, so anyone who doesn't want to see that stuff just needs to add the appropriate keywords to their permanent blacklist filter, and you don't see it anymore.

Oh trust me, Twitter can be just as bad, if not worse. FA may have somewhat questionable staff, but Twitter has a large toxic userbase that have forced many people to leave for the sake of their own sanity, myself included. Mob rule can quickly become a thing.

I think they mostly mean the format. Twitter is hell to find art someone posted long time ago. Galleries work better, but FA is no longer worth it, imo.

It really isn't, where to post art has become more of a "hell or hell" sort of choice for the time being.

Well, you dont really seem to do any human art, so maybe you could try Inkbunny as another gallery? Upload system is much better than FA, they have a working thumbnail AND blacklist system, have a submission pool system which is sorta like folders, and you can you even post multiple images in a single submission which is pretty nice.

They also have way less down time than FA does xD

I'll second this. Despite the negative view people give it, the place has better features than FA, and I've never seen any real issues come from the staff there.

I don't do Twitter (since I'm not a twit) and Patreon is extremely nasty about what they'll allow now -- and they're Hell on anything that even smells like cub.

Personally, I use DeviantART (they aren't much better) and Weasyl, but I ought to use InkBunny more often. FurryLife Online decided to delete all my content! You might also try Furiffic.

You could make either a Telegram or Discord server or both. For Telegram you can even make it so only you can post so people can follow for art posts and announcements. On Discord you'd have to be a bit more structured and perhaps have a few mods to help with any trolls that join or try to raid,

see? it's easy to understand. the more gross your art work is. the less trouble it causes.

Real talk:
To be fair his "chibi" stuff looks more like cubs crap than traditional chibi stuff. Most of them have the proportions of juveniles.

With traditional chibi stuff, the head is usually the same size as the body or 75% the size of the body. While the body itself is typically drawn with normal adult proportions, not counting the oversized head. I am not seeing that in his gallery other than his Fenneko pic.

Several other artists that I watch with even less "minor" appearing artwork that have gotten hit by the staff have wiped their gallery here and left a message that they could be found over on ink or pix this past month.

Gotta love it. One reason I like to have my submissions posted across multiple gallery sites in case one goes down permanently for whatever reason. Watching you on twitter either way!

Good luck if Twitter doesn't find your art too naughty like FA, trying to recover your account after that can take months. So don't put your eggs in one basket or you'll be fucked.

Definitely this... not to mention I don't dare post anything cub or cub-like on Twitter because they appear to have similarly strict policy against it in ToS. Or at least it's sure as heck worded vaguely enough to appear that way. If FA can decide randomly that your art is of 'minors' (same happened to me here) then Twitter can, too.

All that to say nothing of the fact that we have precedent for a porn-friendly social media site suddenly and without warning dumping all porn content and porn pages completely (Tumblr) and leaving those artists who went all in on there stranded. Patreon can drop you at the tip of a hat (TBH I thought they already banned 18+ on there), Twitter could decide tomorrow that our art isn't supported there, and it's curtains for anyone who didn't diversify a bit.

Well I'm not even talking about the ethics of Twitter, I mean legit it's a site designed to support Gold fish memory posts... IE. Hey guys I just got lunch. Hey guys I just took a dump. Hey guys I just posted some art on my site. I wasn't designed to Actually post and archive your work... it's entire structure does not support galleries or fast and easy retrieval of past posts. It's a glorified virtual Post-it note board to notify people of what you are doing and where to see it or share thoughts ... not to have it be the actual platform you do the functions on. It at it's base is just not a great place for artists ... it's even worse for artists that what to express themselves in a way that goes against the grain of the norm.

I must say... I would hate to lose access to your art.
I'll follow on the alternatives now.

This is not okay in so many ways, I usually don't word like witch hunt, but this is a witch hunt. More and more artists complain that they could get banned from your site only because their art style or writing style isn't any longer correct? Stories and artwork correct for decades are suddenly a reason to ban people? Isn't this censorship because of certain words or an art style? Why threaten to ban people because their art seems to disturb others for characters looking younger than they are? Why threaten to ban people who use in stories with ponies as main characters the words filly or colt (totally normal words to use)? Is the furry fandom really that toxic that it has to purge persons because they use the "wrong" words or the "wrong" art style?

Just make an inkbunny account lmao. They don't care if it looks like cub.
