Sounds like you were having a better time than I was transferring everything over to a new computer, then purging my phone and iPad because I have to transit the US on my way back from Japan and ICE might not take too kindly to a cache full of furry porn.

Oh shit no doubt yeah, it's getting pretty wild out there. I yearn for the woods more every day, but then when I'm out there I can't distract myself from my own damage.

I found that using that time of no distractions to assess and accept the damage helped start healing the damage.

I've spent the last two or three days beating my newly installed Linux distro into submission and inventing new expletives to describe computer parts. Good to see you back.

Linux is actually more usable than it's ever been if you install the Mint version. It's just that I'm a hipster and I don't want some of the underlying tech stuff in Mint which it inherited from Ubuntu. More manual config this way, but I can rest assured that nothing in the world touches my computer's files except for me.

It's been years since I messed with linux, setting up muds and stuff probably 15 years ago? I remember linux being all fun no hard work :P :P :P
