I personally use it so I can cross-platform YCH auctions, because you just need an email to bid instead of having to make a new account.

I don't see much use for it for promotion, however, because I don't really look at the other auctions and such there.

Yeah I was wondering if it was a 'bring your own audience' kind of thing, in which case I might as well just keep releasing my characters and art on FA.

I don't really browse commishes directly, but I bid on stuff when it's linked from here or whatever. Works fine for that.

Ironically the only time I've ever followed any links to there from artists whom I'm watching, it's been to auctions which have almost always passed well beyond their low starting bids.

That said, I've never really engaged in it myself and, as such, presently don't have an account there. So I couldn't say if it's any good for either artist or purchaser.

I only bring it up, because a few artists i follow use it, and have insane profits over there. I don't want to seem greedy, I like selling my work for low enough that it's available to everyone, but I could use a couple of big sales right now to give me some money buffer.

I had an account there a few years ago (when the site was first launched). However, the site's interface was so unintuitive and confusing that navigating through the tabs in the menu on my account was a disaster. But I got banned shortly afterwards (they probably weren't yet decided on the content that could be included on a site like nsfw etc.). So I gave up on that service.

And some time ago I even found out that someone had impersonated me there, created an fake account with an almost identical name, copied my old auctions and tried to sell them there again (as Fake!).
So I personally don't recommend that place.

I don't use it, because it's a haven for artists who can't use paypal. And since I can't get through the workarounds to use boosty, I don't use it.

I'll generally ignore any YCH auction using it for that reason. There's no need to go 'cross platform' to my mind; isn't the audience all here? Unless you're trying to market to people banned from FA.

Never heard of it, and if they aren't being rigorous about preventing AGI flooding then it'll become another ocean of slop like DA and Pixiv.

I'm not really the type to bid on YCH auctions since I prefer to get comms from artists I have some kind of connection with.

I only ever see it used as a central location to handle auctions cross platform. Ie someone posts adverts on FA, Inkbunny, X, Bluesky etc. Then thr comisshes page is just tracking the auction in one place
