With time and trust, I will come to accept and have faith that there are some actually Friendly Godly/Divine OCs and owners out there that arnt in it to crush everything lesser than them

But that past scenario just made me feel so... violated, helpless and by all accounts, I feel I did not deserve to have my fursona being reduced to a ragdoll by someone else cuz they wanted to show off

Ugh, yeah. I feel ya, especially about that godly/divine characters frustration. I think I've briefly chatted with you about this before, but I'll explain quickly for anyone else that wants to know. I had a really similar experience, I was part of a Discord (or maybe Kik?) group that was operated by someone with a "god" OC; they were super controlling of everyone that was in there. Every time ANYTHING happened in the storyline that they didn't like, their OC would snap their fingers, and change it to whatever they wanted. The final straw for me was when they actually fucking kicked someone from the server who complained about it. I bailed out immediately after. The word 'narcissist' gets thrown around a little too readily these days, and I dunno if they were actually a narcissist, but that was a HUGE red flag regardless.

Anyway, like I said, I feel ya for sure. I have characters with fantasy abilities and stuff, but I don't have any divine characters. Though, I have run into some folks with divine OCs before who were super nice and respectful to me, so I definitely don't think they're all that way. But that one guy definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Sometimes makes me wonder if that is how these people behave towards others IRL or their own family.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with powerful OCs. I have many myself, but they're written well and are for a narrative in my story. They're not 'there to be there' sort of thing. I understand what you mean, but to hate all of them/everyone who has one (or more) just because of one bad apple doesn't seem entirely fair.

I understand, it's really the person behind them that is the issue.

Reading your comment got me thinking, maybe it was overkill to put hate on everyone with divine OC's just because of that one incident.

I was so angry and frustrated in the moment tho, not to justify doing it but I didn't want to take any chances on it happening again.

That really hurt watching someone pin my character down the way they did and going as far as deleting my messages/emotes (attempts to resist or fight back) and I couldn't do anything about it.

I'll give it some more thought through this evening and come up with some new text for my profile info.

I understand what you mean. For example, my father is a abusive-ass DM who has power trips frequently and controls everything the group does, which isn't how you DM, by the way. So I understand the feeling and frustration with not being able to be yourself or do what you want to do. He's just an asshole in the game and in real life, but that's a detailed-topic for later. Point is, I understand your feelings. But not all DMs are bad people just because my dad is. Not all people who have powerful/divine OCs jerk themselves off to the 'power play', for a lack of better terminology.

Saying "This one person did this, so everyone who does it is bad" is a very, VERY dangerous mindset to have, especially with what's going on in the world nowadays.

People are people. Some do good things, some do bad things. Some write good OCs, some write bad ones. Some understand the nuance of balance, and some don't.

Wish there was a way to filter out the good people from the bad today. But that's not how it works.

It's really not fun to be under someone's foot (in a non-kinky way) and they enjoy and get off on doing so. If you've seen the anime One Punch Man, you'll know the issue of being technically immortal.

I again, agree with your comment tho. I'm pretty sure that all the time I've had that text up there, some people got turned away, I can almost guarantee it has happened at least a few times. Gonna try to lighten up my view and be more open to people with those characters.

One Punch Man was an entertaining anime for a bit but the outcome was definitely always the same. Idk, I have a love-hate relationship with that show. It's not the worst anime I've ever seen but it's...boring? I don't know the proper word to use. A show where the protagonist isn't ever in any form of danger is kinda boring. The same can be said for Dragonball since they just always revive people who died and death has no actual meaning in the show but...I feel that can be discussed on a more-appropriate thread than this one.

Very fair. Thank you for shedding light on the downside of hosing an entire crowd down because of bad happenstance.

Thinking again, it's not worth it in the end giving everyone equal opportunity hatred because that happened. It has left its mark on my mind but I want to move on and be open and accommodating to the truly good people with divine OC's.

We get to talk about that don't we?... So many people have different OCs and kinks and unfortunately some bad actors over-extend onto people thinking there the only big bad in the room...gotta love main character syndrome I say...

Needless to say its a problem ill be it a rare one... As someone who has been on the internet for a very long time I seen many OCs with many differing capabilities. And of course I have seen my fair share of gods and Macros and usually they are either a absolute monster or saint...But usually the good ones even if they narrative are overtly destructive with there rampaging a lot respect boundaries of others domains, and only do there rampages in there own pockets they create sadly. Some over-extend beyond that and trespass beyond domains...annoying interlopers making me waste spell slots on banish...

In any case Xevy don't let the bad actors ruin it for those who have such who actually are kind to other people you let the bad ruin the good if you turn cynical on all over it after all.

That's why I've come to the conclusion to (finally) lighten up on my stance about it.

But the memory still lingers, and it is painful and embarrassing to this day.
