Week 64

General
But where did week 63 go!? I hear you cry as I write this journal. Well… I was on vacation and everything kind of went away while I was traveling/doing some general doodling. One of the big things I did this past week was actually pull out the old sketchbook and do two sketches. And it felt pretty darn good! The work I did wasn’t as polished as what I might be able to do on my Ipad, but it was much better than my old work. Of course, I did catch myself attempting to zoom/rotate the paper out of reflex on occasion and had a laugh at how habits and reflexes can form.
That being said, realizing that rotating the paper is a thing is one of the benefits that I think has come out of drawing on the Ipad. I used to always do drawings with the paper just being in one direction in front of me. Drawing where I was rotating the pad on occasion made a HUGE difference in how the traditional art I did came out. So there you go! remember, people who might be just starting in drawing, that paper can be rotated to get better angles on things! What a novel concept that I should have thought of earlier but never did.
Other works that I’ve done over the course of the two weeks… I have a still WIP sketch of a transformation sequence and story that I have to get back to at some point, maybe I’ll finish it this week if my brain comes back to it when I’m sitting around contemplating what to do. I colored in Sezin in the swimsuit! I did some camp art, as well as a sticker for a friend and some for me!
ALSO! I posted my artfight card up. I will be taking part in that this year and am really looking forward to it. Not too long now before I start making my opening attacks! though from my understanding I shouldn’t plan on posting anything on the site for the first few days as the site gets flooded with folks. Forewarned, I saved some of the reference sheets of people I intend to attack, and then I’ll start defending once I can see if anyone attacked me.
For any interested in coming to battle with the duck, you can find my artfight info in this post here

To those who watch, fave, comment, and view thank for your support. Seeing the interaction with my art helps keep me motivated to make it even on weeks where I’m out and about doing other things. I try to keep the little bit every day mantra going on, and thanks to you I’ve been keeping it strong. It means so much.
Sincerely,
Trellian Duck
