So, I reconnected with my friend ++++ who ghosted me a few years ago. He got a jury duty summons in the mail, and it was in my PO Box for days, and I was worried he'd get it too late if I forwarded it in the mail. So I drove to see him. My friend &&&& did the mail handover, but ++++ came over to see me, and we talked. We both admitted fault on some stuff and apologized to each other. He admitted he was really angry about some stuff from how his life was going. And he's gotten much better. I admitted I was too used to having him around, and didn't want him to leave when I should have been helping him find a place sooner. And after we lived together for two years, we both got angry with each other. But now he's doing great. He's put on a little weight, he had some awesome looking clothes with vintage style sneakers, and he's in a good financial place now. I'm gonna take it slow reconnecting with him, because of the distance we live apart. But I'm glad he's doing good. And I'm glad I've reconnected with him. I've known him since I was 13, he and &&&& are my two oldest friends. While talking to him, I pointed out he was right about my sister in the things he said about her five years ago. I gave him the short version on the situation, and he was mortified. He couldn't believe how far my sister ha fallen. But at the same time he was happy we kicked her out, because we don't need her toxic. So aside from all the erands I had to run in 93 degrees, today was a good day.
