I hate to pester, but could you be more specific? There have been a lot of censorship laws being drafted and implimented lately. So much so, it's hard to keep up. What specifically is the issue this time?

The recent incident on the 10th. The person they lived with was of the fandom and pushed such acts. The person who did it even put a fur 'meme' on the device they used. The fandom is in the cross-hairs after discord, the person was an avid user, and video-games in general because they played helldivers 2. I am not at all surprised it has come to this considering the groups this fandom does not gatekeep out.

Oh the Kirk incident, right. It does look like all the evidence is adding up to that individual being the perpetrator. I'm hoping their not for how bad it reflects the community. But yeah, tensions are growing far too hot for civil discourses at this rate. It's genuinely disconcerting to see how many people are celebrating the crumbling of reason for violence.

My .02 on this (Everything really) is pretty simple- We get what we tolerate and enable. I've been many things in this Life. A Woman. A USMC Veteran. A cripple/permanently disabled human who had to claw her way back onto two feet and walking again. My hobbies are many, from shooting, hunting/hiking/nature, drawing, writing, and of course, 'Furry.'
No matter what 'Group' I may have been in or still am, if 'I' see someone in it misbehaving and by such behavior denigrating or bringing NEGATIVE examples for the rest of the world to see (And then judge all of us by), 'I' will step-in, to the best of my abilities, and attempt to correct said misbehavior.

Now here's the Internet. Where millions of brave souls embrace the time-honored tradition of talking smack and trolling, because they don't have the FEAR of what getting a busted lip, loosened teeth/et al is like, should they do that crap in front of the person(s) they're insulting.

It's a condition that's run amok, and simply knowing it exists won't stop it.

I'm no fan of blanket censorship over a difference of opinion or 'Group.' I do believe people have a freedom of speech/thought, but that doesn't grant anyone a 'Free Pass' to talk shit, lie, slander or malign others (Unless of course, they actually HAVE the proof/receipts to justify said insults?).

FA isn't immune to prejudice. Sadly, this is a human trait so we're going to face it regardless of where we are or go.

For myself, I don't support any group/business that delights in censoring/banning people over a difference of opinion, esp. if they THEN embrace support and protect others who are clearly shoveling crap. There are MANY businesses that will never see a penny of MY $$$ because of what they choose to embrace and promote. For the same reasons, places like FA and SoFurry won't see any of my work, much less $$$. That's on them. THEY choose the Path they're on, and until/unless they do a hard 180 and correct it?...

Sadly, yes. 'We' in the Anthropomorphic Fandom are going to 'Enjoy' still further ridicule and persecution from the rest of the world, because of the bad things 'Some' have done.

That too is part of the human condition.
