"And crowds are now marching in Europe, in the United States. And the message is: What has worked in the past does not have to be perfect, as I said, it’s better than the alternative. And we’re gonna return to it. And we wish you would join us. But if you don’t wanna join us and you want to dismantle Western civilization, or you hate the United States, or you despise your particular European country, then you’re gonna be voted out of office, and you’re gonna have zero political power, as it should be."
As I say, interesting.

So i will wish you all the best in your endeavors and bid you adieu
Especially the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel for calling them out for using Kirk's death to line their pockets.
The Dutch one is particularly odd considering they’re protesting against one of the Eastern Bloc “traditionalists” he praises later in the article https://www.occrp.org/en/news/prote.....an-broadcaster

I made this comment on someone else's Journal:I keep hearing 'fascist', 'Nazi', 'Hitler' bandied about. I also look around and the most fascist activity I'm seeing is the Antisemitism that's choking the country. Could someone please tell me what the political affiliation of the antisemitic people is?I come back and I see that someone I have blocked called me a bigot. Seriously? So it goes.
Now 'everyone' is up in arms because POTUS ordered Jimmy Kimmel fired. Only, he didn't. ABC/Disney's two largest affiliates are Nexstar and Sinclair. They are the network's customers. ABC has to keep those customers happy or the network will quickly go out of business. Any confusion on this so far? Leave a comment below and I will try to explain in words with fewer syllables. Anyway the two affiliates, the biggest distributors for ABC's products, Were very unhappy and the network had to satisfy. If Nexstar and Sinclair had requested Jimmy's head a la Salome, Disney may have complied. Nothing personal, strictly business. So it goes.
So, before you go making ill-advised pronouncements, DO THE RESEARCH.
Nexstar's statement.
Sinclair's press release.
I Can Explain it to You but I Can't Make You Understand it.
Between abysmal ratings, controversies and the large amount of money they were likely paying him, it probably wasn't a hard decision for execs to make when their primary customers wanted him gone.
I had planned to include that but I'd already used up a lot of the Major's Journal page with the stark revelations about the affiliates.
Now we have some
punsterspundits screaming that ABC is losing advertisers because of the move. Well, if that's the case, why was the show losing tens of millions for YEARS before they shelved (not cancelled) it? And again, no distributors, no network!I guess with the current Republican Party responding to any loss of their money with violence against the left, that is not coming.
"Kat Abughazaleh, a Democratic congressional candidate, said she was tear-gassed and shoved twice by federal agents while sitting down with other protesters to block vehicle access to the facility on Friday morning."
"In a statement following the protests, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said that "rioters assaulted law enforcement, threw tear gas cans, slashed tires of cars, blocked the entrance of the building, and trespassed on private property."
From the photos in the article, it looks to me like some of the protestors were trying to both block access to and from the facility while also trying to gain access into the facility.
Again the government alleges assault on law enforcement officers, destruction of property, blocking access to the building and trespassing. I completely support the right for people to protest. While I am sure that the majority of people protesting were doing so peacefully and keeping out of the way, I am going to cast severe criticism towards this 'get up in their faces, confront them and disrupt them' rhetoric that's been used to foolishly encourage forceful behavior towards those who are legally authorized and trained to use force.
