Beyond its combo of cute and smug, Snivy (and every other base form Gen V starter, actually) is among my favorites because Pokèpark 2 and Pokèmon Black/White are games I’m very fond of for both nostalgia and gameplay/writing related reasons.
Emolga also fits the bill for embodying my love for Gen V and being really cute, though they’re also up there because of their connection with silly middle school memories that I may have mentioned to you already. (correct me if I’m wrong)
As for Mawile, it’s because I like that they’re capable of both being really cute and really menacing/threatening, that they’re someone who’s more than capable of kicking your butt and looking adorable all the while.
Beyond just because it was the perfect excuse for Emily to make what’s easily the most massive mess she’s made in her diaper and because it plays into the beloved trope of messy diapers doubling as thrones/bean bags, my personal favorite is the one I wrote in Emily’s Constipation Conflict because it was a lot of fun building up to said scene and having it be the story’s capstone.
The one I most recently wrote in the “Space Hoppers and Load Droppers” Sturdy Stinkers commercial also gets an honorable mention because a little one resuming their playtime after loading their diaper best captures the silly, innocent, and carefree vibes I love most about babyfur content.
How they further embody the silly and carefree nature of the diaper-clad kids themselves, not only through their usage that allows said babies to be as boisterous as can be with their bladders/bowels and free of all obligations all the while, but also through how the properties of their Pampers change once the deed is done; such is shown, say, through a dirty diaper doubling as a dance partner while the toddler shakes alongside their saggy diaper, or when their full diaper also functions like a beanbag fit for little ones most free to lounge and relax.
Assuming I’m meant to read this as “If Pokémon were real and there was one you had to care for like a diaper-clad kid, which one would you choose?”, my answer is Sylveon; alongside being adorable and fun to be around/play with (at least going by my headcanon that Fairy-type toddlers are generally sweethearts that love to play dress up and the like), any stress caused by dirty diapers and other debacles would be washed away by said Pokémon’s propensity for relieving stress/negative emotions.
Me, I'd go with Toxel, or a fire type like Tepig, since poison and fire would most likely be okay and even happy with messy diapers, and I adore that kind of stuff. As long as I got used to the stench, I'd like to play with them wearing rancid nappies all day long.
Outside of diapers, what do you think of the baby side of the babyfur content? Examples being baby behavior, like crawling, baby voice, and baby toys, like using a baby rattle, drinking from a baby bottle and playing with blocks.
Some of my stories already answer this question, actually, as “The Beauty of a Bottle”, “The Renowned Rocking Horse”, and “The Sublimity of Simplest Toys” center around bottle feedings, rocking horses, and rattles respectively. In short, I appreciate that side of babyfur content for both emphasizing how the world is all the wider and more wonderful as a little kid alongside providing me the challenge of turning simple scenarios into in-depth explorations of little kid life and/or fantastical adventures.
