I'm moving after 20 years (of living in the same house)
Hello,
After 20 years and 6 months of living in the same place, my family and I have made the decision to move out, well if it where up to us we wouldn't move but some things cant be helped. Fortunately we where able to find a buer otherwise the alternative is foreclosure.
Theres a multifaceted reason behind all this but mostly due to the absurd cost of living here in california and due to terrible refinancing options
Its gonna be really hard, ive lived here for most of my life so its definitely gonna be a huge change , hopefully for the better? Its gonna really suck, if we chose to stay in california where going to move to isnt going to be ideal, and i have no idea about out of state? If we moved out of state it might be to Washington/PNW possibly but im gonna say thats a 1% chance that'll happen most likely.
The only postive is that the house will be sold (when the dust is all settled) to a young couple the husband is one of the local firefighters in the town so its not gonna get fliped or anything like that, I'd hate to see go to someone like that.
Our last day here is November fourth then we give the keys to the potential new owners
We tried everything we could to fight for our home here but we ran out of options.
I guess they say rough roads lead to beautiful destinations.

If you end up moving to Washington state you won't find me. I'm living in Central Illinois. But I would rather be living back in Western Washington state.
