Artists I Might Review
Almost 2 weeks ago, I made a journal entry about artists I will NOT review on my YouTube channel. So I’ve been thinking about the opposite and decided to make a list of artists whose music I might review on my album review series. So here they are:
Bon Jovi: I am familiar with their work, and I think it’s pretty good given the fact that I’ve only heard a handful of their songs.
The Cult: I discovered this band from Beavis and Butt-Head, my mom always enjoyed their music, and we got to see them in concert in August of 2018 when they were on tour with Bush and Stone Temple Pilots.
Jane’s Addiction: I’ve been a fan of these guys ever since I saw the music video for Mountain Song on Beavis and Butt-Head, and my mom always loved their music.
Dope: this is a pretty well known band among millennials like myself, and I have considered adding their music to my CD collection.
Melvins: these guys started up the genres of both grunge and sludge metal, but they don’t get much recognition for it. I actually got to see them in concert in April of 2016, and King Buzzo and Dale Crover have been on my dad’s radio show.
White Zombie: I’ve been a fan of their music ever since I first saw them on Beavis and Butt-Head. Hell, their album sales went up when some of their music videos were featured on the show.
Rob Zombie: I’ve always been a fan of his music ever since I was a kid. On top of that, he has a new album coming out next year.
Cheap Trick: I got to see these guys in concert back in 2013, and they were awesome!
Smashing Pumpkins: this is another band I saw in 2013, and I’d be open to reviewing their music.
GWAR: Mike Judge is a fan of their music, and some of their music videos were featured on Beavis and Butt-Head. Hell, they were even featured in an episode of the Angry Video Game Nerd.
Revolting Cocks: I’m already planning to review the albums by Ministry and Surgical Meth Machine at some point. So I don’t see a reason not to review anything by Revolving Cocks. Granted it is another side project by Al Jourgensen.
The Soundtracks for Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel: I’m a longtime fan of both shows. Although this kind of music is typically outside of what I normally review, I may take it into consideration.
The Beatles: these guys were part of the reason why I got into music, and I still listen to them every now and then.
Queen: whenever someone says that Queen is one of their favorite bands, then there’s a chance that person has a good taste in music.
Puscifer: I’ve already reviewed the music by Tool and A Perfect Circle. So I don’t see a reason not to review their music.
Sevendust: these guys were huge back in the 2000s, and I kinda regret overlooking them.
Drowning Pool: this is another nu metal band that doesn’t get a whole lot of recognition, and I might get around to reviewing their music.
Stone Sour: I am familiar with their work, and I think it’s really awesome that they covered the song We Die Young by Alice In Chains.
Megadeth: I remember that some of their music videos were featured on Beavis and Butt-Head, and their final album is coming out pretty soon.
Mudvayne: these guys reunited in 2021, and they released a new single 4 years later.
Cornbugs: this is a rather obscure band that Buckethead was a part of, and Bill Mosley has been on my dad’s radio show.
Praxis and Death Cube K: these are 2 other projects that Buckethead has worked on.
Dry Cell: this an obscure nu metal band that Jeff Gutt (the frontman for Stone Temple Pilots) was a part of, but their albums are hard to come by.
The Outfield: some of their songs have been played on my store’s radio, and I’d be open to reviewing their music.
Pet Shop Boys: I’ve heard some of their songs on my store’s radio, and these guys are still making music to this very day.
Radiohead: this is another band that was famously featured on Beavis and Butt-Head. Hell, they even guest starred on an episode of South Park.
Gary Numan: Nine Inch Nails and Fear Factory has covered his song Cars. Hell, he was even featured in Fear Factory’s cover of the song, and he joined Nine Inch Nails on stage when they covered it.
I know that some of my previous journal entries had their share of negativity. So I figured I should write something positive to try and balance things out.
