Hello hello! Thanks to everyone that's checked up on me over the last little while. Responding to folks is hard, but I appreciate it more than I can properly express. <3
Depression is really weird when your life is actually good lol. I've been doing a lot better over the last couple of weeks in particular, though I'm still struggling with the "lack of interest in my hobbies" aspect.
To help me get myself back in order, new commissions are closed indefinitely. The Crayon Club is also closed for now.
My hope is to reopen everything by New Years, but I'll make another announcement when I'm ready to do paid work again. :)
Since I've made this decision, I've started drawing my first new poster since January! I'm actually having fun and looking forward to working on it a little each day. I still can't get as much done as I'd like, but I'll take it lmao

Because I keep fairly flexible hours, I'm usually recruited to solve day-to-day problems. I kid you not, ALL FIVE of our vehicles have needed work over the last couple months and, well, someone's gotta manage that lol. My old lady cat also needed a minor surgery (she's doing GREAT now,) but that also fell on my lap
Much like my cat. :P
So in hindsight it's been quite a lot lol. It didn't feel that way in the moment because I'm just doing what needs done, but dang. No wonder I've been dealing with a bit of burnout.

Sometimes it really helps to just sit down and actually think of everything you've done, it's usually a lot more than you remember. I know for me I'm quick to mentally box up accomplishments and projects then set them aside once they're done, but they did happen! You're welcome, I'm glad to be here and lend support, we've all gotta stick together and do what we can for each other in this crazy world of ours!
But that's my own cross to bare. :P
Gosh, I'm so guilty of that, you could lock me up. I'm quick to discount everything I do, especially the day-to-day upkeep type jobs.

I've been leaning into the self-indulgence aspect and it's been great. :) I do love sharing stuff, but I'm so bad about remembering to post sometimes lol
either way I hope ya feel better. I had some depression/downtrodden and had to ride that wave. Best of luck deary.
I'm eternally grateful that I have a good in-person support network, but I'll definitely remember that if there's a next time. <3 Thank you.
I'm finally coming out the other side and I hope that your bout of depression is/was as painless as possible too. I'm admittedly bad about responding to casual online chit-chat lately, but if you need some irl support, I'm more than happy to provide a shoulder to lean on. :)
