❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ My mom can not thank you all enough- she was absolutely floored and brought to tears by your support, well wishes and generosity. She was having SUCH a hard week, she called my crying and telling me how she was contemplating her quality of life with her new disabilities while my brothers were still making my very disabled mother run all their errands for them. So I told her about the trip you all helped plan for her and she lit up... we went on the cruise and she even rode horseback on the island going for a two hour trail ride. She really, really needed it and it's helped her so much.
I put together a video of the trip for everyone!!
TO THE SHIP
We are back home now and she's navigating her life with her new disabilities and has more doctors scheduled. We're looking for a hand and wrist specialist that maybe could help her get feeling back in her hand. Right now she can't really use her dominant hand due to the nerve damage and she can't fully close her on good eye. She also has a breast surgery scheduled because the accident popped one of her implants from her cancer surgery.
Some more good news though! We found the perfect new horse for her. His name is Boone and he's a very slow, gentle, loving boy and she's going to gain so much confidence back with him <3
As for me, I'm recovering SO WELL after my surgery. I couldn't even imagine I'd have this much less pain in my life. My condition isn't curable and it may grow back over time- but for now my quality of life has massively improved!
