Finally out of the hospital, after what was discovered to be a "hot" appendix that required surgery to remove.

Problem was they couldn't let me go home, because they didn't want me lifting my wheelchair to get back inside my apartment . . . so, social services had to co-ordinate with an accessibility company to have a ramp installed in my front doorway. Took them nearly a WEEK to get it done, but ultimately it was finished and I got to return home last night.

Now, it's time to get back to dealing with all the follow up appointments and things that need to be addressed in the aftermath of the surgery.

I'm just glad to be home at last!
