Yeah, It may not matter how experienced they are. The nation is in a very delicate state, if ever. And each side is systematically tampering with each part of it to suit their needs or for questionable goals. Age is one thing that can be of concern, common sense is another that's important.

Can agree here. Old age is only a quarter of the story. Many of the people doing what they do in their older age didn't get worse, they just got older. They weren't even the best people from the get go.

I did ask them yesterday to oppose the repeal section 230. As much as I want to sue corpos to oblivion, this is too extreme, even for us, and harmful to the public...

But I think the real issue is that, without real leadership and guidance...both sides of the party are just duking it out and were left suffering in the end. I'm not sure if there is a real winner in it all, we all lose if we don't talk sense into them...or call out against both parties.

From what I've been hearing: Some on the republican side want to repeal it because before musk took it over twitter was censoring conservatives (which is true) but instead of doing that, they should've just sued the gov't sense twitter was doing it at the behest of the previous administration, which is against the first amendment.

No term limits means politicians start owing companies and powers. You get into big positions only if you either are an insane wildcard like Trump but still not gonna do much, less then some of the more extreme dems even and not even comparable to the usual spineless repub. Or you just climb the ladder.

So politicians for the first 10-20 years are bright eyed and want to change things. And then the rest of their life a hollowed out 'IOU' machine as investors want their return on investment and if they dont like you suddenly everything everywhere starts to speak bad about you and hate you. If you aren't wearing the mask of either party you wont be votable to 80% of people because it's just 2 sides to most.

With both parties having their favoribility drops maybe a third party can show up again and just run using the mask of either just for the average idiot voter again, and maybe someone that's not just doing it out of spite because obama made fun of them.
