What I'm Working On

Hello Flock Members!
Right now life feels like a bunch of plates wobbling in the cold. Both of my cars need new tires, and the van also needs new sway bars and bushings in the front. I already have all the parts for the Camry — I just need the tires and to get out of this weather that feels like it’s −30.
I’ve been trying to do a little art every day. That’s why I started doing a daily doodle before work — it grounds me and gives me something I can build on. Art has become one of the healthiest ways I cope with everything going on.
Living so close to Minnesota, the recent violence there has hit hard for me — especially as someone in a queer relationship with kids. There’s a lot of fear, and there’s a lot of bravery. To the people bringing food to those too afraid to leave their homes, thank you. To the people protesting for basic human rights and against unprovoked violence, you deserve recognition and gratitude. And to everyone speaking up — or who wants to but is scared to — you matter. Keep going.
I’ve been spending more time focused on my art techniques lately, especially line work and experimenting with my brushes. I put real time into my work on top of holding a full-time job without healthcare, and drawing in whatever quiet moments I can find. I recently did a couple of art trades just for fun, and I really enjoyed exploring a new style.
As for my comic — page seven is almost fully colored, and I already have an idea for where I want it to go next!
I’m opening up 5 experimental headshot slots to practice and build more portfolio examples. I’m happy to draw various species! $15/Each Example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/63709996/
