Hello Flock Members!
Hello! The snow here has been intense lately. At one point we are supposed to be getting about three inches per hour, and the other morning we woke up to roughly a foot already on the ground. Everything is buried. If you're getting this storm too, how much snow did you end up with where you are?
College is going well so far. I’m currently working through Module 3 on Canine Cognition, learning about the emotions dogs experience and the research that shows those emotional states exist. It’s really interesting seeing the science behind things many people feel intuitively about their dogs. Even though I’m not fully restructuring my own training routines yet, I’ve started applying some of what I’m learning with my dogs at home and I’m already seeing noticeable changes in behavior. It feels encouraging to see the concepts working in real life.
I’ve also been working on a series of YCH pieces to help support paying for my classes. This month has been financially tight after dealing with car maintenance and repairs, plus keeping gas in them so I can get to work and take care of my kids. Because of that I’m trying to keep art moving and open some opportunities for people who might want something drawn.

Next weekend I’ll also be attending Paganicon in Minneapolis to represent the 501©(3) organization I’m part of. I’m proud to represent my community, though I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about the location this year. I’m hoping to learn a lot and contribute where I can during the summit discussions. If anyone here is also going, I’d love to know.
