Update 01/18/2026
I wanted to share some good news at least!
- I really feel the need to share what all your donations are going towards. I dont have receipts to prove it, but I want you to have the trust in us that we will not waste a single dollar and we are using it to rebuild and pay it forward to others in need after we are taken care of. I would never ask anyone of anything if the situation wasnt this dire.
- Huge news. We have gotten our PCs back from the repair shop and they cleaned and dried out everything, somehow both PCs and all drives are completely operational. Because there was no power running through them when they got soaked, I guess it didn’t fry them. This is huge and has saved us a few thousand for sure. I am glad we pulled them out the same day.
- We have bought a couch to replace our old one as well as a rug.
- We have replaced keyboards, mice, headphones, mostly all the same ones we had before.
- I have now purchased an upgraded tablet. My previous Wacom Intuos Pro small was over 10 years old I believe, so the funds we saved from having to buy whole ass new parts for the PCs, I now can put toward a better tablet, and a better work station.
- I have gotten a sit/standing desk now. Not sure if anyone remembers but I have some nerve issues in my right arm/shoulder throughout my wrist. Including issues with my back and neck bone structure, due to my poor posture. I really hope this new set up will improve my health in the long run. I am awaiting it to be shipped.
Bad News
- We still do not have access to our unit. It was been over 2 weeks of occasional rain and snow, and with the roof ripped apart, all of our belongings are exposed to the elements. Only a few days ago they ended up putting a tarp over our place, but it does little good with how long its been. I just hope we can get in there this week and really get a full picture what we will have to pay.
- Its agonizing to wait. I had lost my father when I was very young in horrible circumstances I will not name here. But so much of my things from childhood, and from him are in there, including my bed/room sets. I hope I can get at least something back… Some things you cannot just replace.
- I want everyone to know, every bit of our effort will go to that. Just buying things back and paying a restoration company to see if they can salvage any blankets, clothes, furniture… Lev’s tank? I do hope mold didnt get to everything because its been freezing temps at night but who knows.
Update 01/29/2026
Last week we finally get access to our unit after 3 weeks. It was a mess. Everything looks about the same however, but now with it being in the dead of winter, my floor is blanketed in about a 5 inch layer of insulation and ice due to the amount of water from the firefighters. Furniture is glued to the floor, items we had to literally carve out of an ice mountain. We did this from 9am to 5pm only take a couple hour break each day for lunch and nap for 6 days. Most things we took to my restoration company, clothing, books, my old drawings, furniture, the works. As excruciating it was to hack away and demolish our home further, the ice was the thing that saved some sentimental things for sure as no mold could grow. There were some items that did have it, and many many many more items lost inside chunks of ice somewhere or ruined. Lev’s tank is already busted in the back from the expansion of the ice, so shes going to need new *everything*. The important thing is we did recover some, more than I even expected. My furniture has water spots but not as bad warping and tearing for 3 weeks. I hope they can be restored. 3D printer? Done x’D most electronics did not make it, but I can officially say we are DONE going through that unit.
Definitely some sobbing moments looking at our previous view from our balcony, something I will miss dearly as our view now is basically facing a wall. That will always be my first home I moved in to call my own. The place Miza visited me and eventually he moved in. The place we got our cats, where so many memories were made. Though the important thing is we are all okay, and we are alive to make new memories. Its very hard to wrap my head around that it could’ve gone so much worse. What if we didnt wake up…
Its going to take a long time to heal, but after getting as much as we could to salvage, I can finally work on rebuilding in our current place.

I have finally made an amazon wish list of some type that wont dox me. I want this to be VERY CLEAR: Your donations already have helped immensely, and overtime I think our insurance will fully pay out even if its still not enough to cover everything we've lost. Most of our basic needs are covered and I am eternally grateful. If you still want to help but not just with money, then this is a good alternative to the people that have asked. These are mainly smaller items for pets, house hold things and so on. Thank you. This will be updated.
(Throne, the website does take a cut from purchases to hide my personal info, please be aware of fees. Apologies Ive never used this site before)

I cannot thank everyone enough for what you have done for my family. We are very lucky to have kind folk like you wanting us to succeed. Seriously every SINGLE one of you. Weather you donated 5 dollars or 500. Every single thing helps. There is nothing in this world that I can do to repay you all.
🎨I have now opened very simple headshot commissions to go towards this. I finally feel slightly better mentally, enough to draw. I also just need some funds as Miza is the only one making steady money at the moment. <3 Check it out if you’re interested - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/63825808/ 🎨

What I find weird is that the building owner wouldn't let you get in to recover your own property or even tarp it up knowing it's the dead of winter. You probably could have saved the expensive electronics, especially the 3d printer, tablet and PC's.
A few things can happen after a fire. The biggest concern firefighters have when dealing with a building fire is chemicals going off and structural integrity. Your stuff is the least of their concerns, their immediate worry is making sure nothing cascades into neighboring plots and making a bad situation worse. They are also going to check for survivors or visible remains.
After all of that is done, someone known as a fire inspection officer will show up. They will determine the cause, help facilitate accountability and who fronts the bill for the incident. Depending on the complexity of the situation, this can take a long time. If arson is suspected, the police get involved.
This is how most firefighter departments work in the US and EU. Some things are different but most follow the same general outline of rules and guidelines.
An absolutely awful way to start the year and I hope from here on out it's rainbows and sunshine. 😊
There will always be money, but donating it to you is a problem.😔
