Hard Choices to Make. Advice Requested

Dear Furiends,
Hey everyone. So as some of you may not have known, I lost my job back in October and have been struggling to find a job since then. As of now, I live in a relatively small town in SoCal and live near my dear brother,
Fortune to help him with his situations. Well, not the paperwork that I was helping him with is now done and dusted but still needs me around for a while longer. That and we enjoy bugging each other.
My lease expires in April at the end. A deer friend of mine offered me a room for about $500 less than what I pay for my 1 bedroom place. Trouble is moving and having limited expenses but he lives in Sacramento which could potentially yield better jobs and more job opportunities. Having to pack my life again and thin the herd so to speak, move hours away from my brother and farther away from the established support network I created yet again…just to roll dice on potential opportunity. It has been scary and concerning and I am just spiraling on what to do next. I don't know what to do and it scares me to no end.
So I ask you…if you were in my situation, what would you do? Any advice appreciated.

Hold to what makes you happy and keeps you sane. Jobs and money come and go.
If employment does not exist for you where you are, ADragonSoul's advice is good advice: apply to jobs, let them know you are planning on relocating, if you have marketable skills they may even pay for the move. If your work skills are more towards the minimum wage end of the scale, you probably will have to apply as a local.
I guess what it comes down to is, are you happy where you are? Can you (at least) meet your basic needs where you are? If the answer is 'yes'. then sticking around might be the better choice
You'll probably need to make a budget as well and kind of think through like what your expectations of how much money you'll make with a job in Sacramento as well. I kind of get where you're coming from cause I moved away from family and friends for a better job. But currently it's rough being away from everyone, so it's something to weigh for sure.
From my basic bitch understanding of Sacramento I think there's a good chunk of furs out there, so if you're remotely social I think you could establish a social network out there as well. I wish you well either path you decide to go down.
