It's cheaper to kill them.

Karno's Rare-Because-He-Never-Has-Time Blather:
I was reading this article about one of ICE's concentration camps for children:
https://www.propublica.org/article/.....illey-children
The bit where medical care for the prisoners is lethally inadequate struck me as familiar. Dilley is run by private prison company (PTUI!!) CoreCivic.
A couple of good friends of mine were also in the clutches of private prison companies. The deliberate neglect of their medical needs ended up killing them both. And.....THIS IS NOT NEWS.
This neglect has been investigated over and over. The private prison companies have been fined, placed under consent decrees, judicial watch, you name it - but nothing changes. Why is that?
My guess is that when the prison profiteers were setting things up, a cold-blooded reptile in a loose-fitting human suit ran the numbers - and concluded it would be cheaper to pay the fines for killing a percentage of their captives with neglect
( https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/.....tarved-in-jail ), than it would be to provide adequate medical care to them.
As long as neglecting the prisoners, even unto death, is cheaper than providing them with proper care, nothing will change. The amount of the fines would have to be raised by an order of magnitude, to become a real threat to profits, before the private prison psychopaths will even think about reforming their hellholes.
So if you have a serious health condition, held at bay by costly medical treatments, keep your nose squeaky clean, because you won't survive jail. So if the Gestapo comes for you anyway, despite you not having committed any crime? Well....then you have nothing to lose, yes? A man without hope is a man without fear. Do as thou wilt.

2. Calculate the difference between how much it would have cost to obey the law and/or be a decent company, and how much profit was made by being evil. All fines must be greater than or equal to five times those profits, times the number of years they were engaged in evil.
3. Dissolving the corporation is no escape in cases of malfeasance or negligence. In the event fines exceed the ability to pay, the government must seize the company and all of it's assets, as well as the assets of the Board of Directors, and all shares of company stock. (I call this "Skin In The Game." Don't want to lose your money? Take a detailed interest in the operations of the company.)
4. Victims and injured parties are paid first. Cleanup, if applicable, is paid for next. Fines are paid last. Investors get nothing. (Again, "Skin In The Game.")
5. Rather than dissolving the corporation and selling off it's assets, the government may, at it's discretion, nationalize the company and replace the Board of Directors and senior management, in order to continue operations. Thereby maintaining continue employment, and support of the products and/or the customers. Investors may retain their stock holdings. Once the company is operating in the black, legally, it may re-incorporate under new leadership and management. (Breaking up Microsoft, for example, would be a bad idea.)
Then it continued to get worse. We have SLAVE LABOR now. Corporate slave labor. Subsidized by the taxpayers, while some corporations get paid to hold the prisoners and others benefit from the cheap labor.

The private prison tossed the cells to remove any further letters or drawings.

If neither Republicans nor diet-MAGA Democrats have the slightest interest into stopping the current regime's cruelty and idiocy, no matter how demented, unlawful and myopic their actions become, then unapologetically denouncing and calling out any injustice has become pretty much the people's last bastion.
I don't care what the regime thinks, they really dont. It's all about making people more aware of the civic duty everyone has to oppose a regime that has lost any touch with the people and even reality. That isn't even a call for revolution but appealing to common sense in hopes that any semblance of democracy can exist again.
Then we can have debates again.
Check out his page. Nothing there, no art, no editorials. He's just here to troll.
You claim to hate tyrants, yet you are actively defending a guy whose entire philosophy is 'comply with my extreme views now, and I'll graciously allow you to debate later.' That is the literal definition of authoritarianism.
There is absolutely no sport in 'trolling' this group because you take yourselves far too seriously to actually engage with reality. I’m just here pointing out the glaring hypocrisy of your echo chamber. You claim to be the 'smart people' in the room, but the absolute second your logic falls apart, your only defense is to check my profile, plug your ears, and yell 'troll!
Considering the amount of "political payments" being made for them to keep running their "cash cow" business, that would not happen from inside the system.
