I didn’t sleep so well last night. I kept waking up every hour for some reason. I even had a soft bed and everything. At least not sleeping well is rare here down under.

 Toshiro and  Riff decided they wanted to go to the Dubbo zoo. It’s an interesting safari style zoo about five kilometres around. I’ve been kinda ruined on zoos because of my upbringing. My aunt has always worked with exotic animals. I grew up with them and pretty much had all kinds of fun beasts as my friends. So going to a zoo and seeing these animals in a cage is kind of boring when you’re used to actually playing with them hands on.

And no, you perves. Its not playing in that way. *whistles innocently*

I’m just glad we didn’t have to make the walk around the zoo. The drive thru made it much faster. Just like any of these safari style zoos, the animals were as far to the back of the enclosure as possible with their backs to the people looking at them.

After the zoo,  Riff met up with a friend of his while  Toshiro and I went out to lunch and wandered around the town again. It was a nice small town. Very quiet. I’ve started to notice that small town Aussieland is similar all over. At least in the half of the country I’ve driven through.

We left shortly after that. We didn’t get much driving in today, but we don’t have much distance to travel anymore. I left some bags in Melbourne though, so it looks like I may be stuck here an extra couple of weeks. New ticket has me home May 3rd.

I know…Poor me huh? *grins*
