The Mountains

We drove out of Cowra somewhat early. The town was overrun with the elderly. It was actually somewhat uncomfortable. Maybe it was just their time of day or something, but there were NO young people anywhere. And every one knows how good old people are at walking. If they weren't walking slow in front of me on the street, they were attempting to cross the road.
There's nothing more frustrating then that. You can't honk at them, but the desire to do so is so strong sometimes. I bet they wait until the last minute to cross because they know that no one will honk at them. Perhaps I should start.
Either way, we found a little cafe, but they didn't do breakfast. The woman working it though offered to make some bacon and eggs, so it all turned out well. We had to substitute hash browns with potato wedges as well. That also turned out well. I've grown addicted to sweet chili.
After that,w e left. We headed toward Canberra. Its the capital of Australia and very similar to Washington DC. You spend a good few hours driving through absolute nothing before huge sky scrapers come out of nowhere. It lasts for about five minutes, then its gone.
Very weird.
We finally made it to the mountains though. I love the mountains. They're so beautiful wherever you go. Never fails to make me happy =)
We got a cabin in the middle of nowhere, near an offseason ski resort. Its so peaceful. We're gonna go hiking tomorrow probably. When we got two nights, they gave us a third for free, so we're gonna take it easy for a few days.
Be good!
