...and now my cat has a stroke. Took him to the vet on monday and called in to work. I'm thankful I work at a zoo and they all understand the importance of pets. He has hypertension (high blood pressure, basically) and that may have cause the stroke, but they aren't completely sure. We have to go to another vet who specializes in blood pressure.

His white blood cell count is really low. We're talking 200 when it should be 1200. They tested for feline leukemia, but that came back negative. She's pretty sure it isn't cancer because his blood came back pretty clean, except for the white blood cells and the pancreas. Oh yeah, there's something up with his pancreas. We're taking him in today to get more blod drawn so we can have more tests done.

This is all getting really expensive. Soon she will suggest an MRI, and unless I win the lottery we can't afford that. We might have to consider euthanizing him, and that just breaks my heart.

Oh yeah, and he's lost 1/3 of his body weight and we don't know why. Great. I'm glad I finally got a job so we could afford the vet. I'm very sad for him.

ANYWAY. Ummm commissions would be really appreciated or something. We got the speeding ticket taken care of, thank goodness. Mitch got paid for his first week of work, and we weren't expecting that.
