Sedona is a beautiful area of Arizona between the painted desert, just below the Grand Canyon and north of Phoenix and Tucson. It is renowned as one of the most beautiful places in America and also revered by many as a spiritual locus with several famous energy vortexes. It is said that one's soul is never the same after being in Sedona.

And as for packing you... when it comes to honeymoons, three is a crowd. Sorry. :)

How about I bring back a lot of wonderful pictures, hopefully some bone to carve, and (if I am very lucky) some pieces of ironwood to carve as well.

Enjoy yourself..personally I've always found Sedona to be overpriced and sorta flaky. But then I never spent more than a day there...

Screw the town... well, other than one romantic dinner there. We are headed for the red bluffs north of Slide Rock where we will be camping atop the bluffs (elevation 4500+ so 10-20 degrees cooler than Phoenix or Tucson). I have a queen size air mattress that inflates to a full 30 inches thick and will be bringing egyptian cotton sheets and down blankets to make a suitable bed for a honeymoon. Groceries have already been bought and we are more interested in gathering materials for my own art projects than in buying overpriced tourist "art".

It is the land that calls to me. I used to live in Tucson and spent many, many days walking in the desert feeling oddly at home (the coyote in me coming out maybe?).

Snout is Swedish and has never experienced the American Southwest. I think that introducing him to the harsh beauty of that area is going to be the best part of the trip.

And this is when I hit a new low on the internet, by wishing you a good trip on here, when I'm under your floor in the RL.

Yes folks, TwitchDaWoof lives under the floor. I can hear him scurrying behind the baseboards at night as he hunts the small rodents that are his food supply. Sometimes, late at night (if you are very still) you may see him emerge from his hidy hole and raid the fridge for Guiness.
