The stories that I love reading above all else aren't the the epic tales of adventure and hardship wrapped in eventual triumph(though yes, very close second). It's the stories that come after, or even in the middle, that have little to do with the progress of the story and revolve around exploring who the characters are in the story as people, who they are and why they are that way.

Yes it's WoW stuff. But the writing is good and it is totally like porn for my mind. I love seeing the gears turn in his head as he mulls over stuff that frankly makes him less of an icon and more of a person.

More then anything I LOVE understanding how things came to be. I love going back and reading through history about a single person or event, just to understand all I can. And not just fiction, but history too. Every little detail, like how this one friendship a historical figure had shaped how they would act later, even though this friend is barely mentioned.
