you really want to start slow and gradually grow into the harder weight's
for example a light weight but lifted a lot after your arms feel no strain and is confident then move up to a heavier weight.
with the heavier weight less reps to gradually tear the muscles (well get to that later) when your muscles eventually get used to that you then increase the repetition of lifts gradually at your own pace to meet the number of repetitions for the light weight.
and you continue this process till satisfied...or you wanna get into bodybuilding lolz.
here's another example illustrating this.
light weigh: 10k 30 repetitions both arms
then when ready for next lvl
leight weight 2: 15k 5 repetition both arms
when ready increase repetition by 5 till it reaches 30
and you repeat increasing the weight. ^^ hope this helped about weightlifting routines.
plus tearing muscle is slang my body builder buddy uses he tell me its basically when you strain the muscle you tear muscle strands when its doing a workout afterwards eventually the tears will heal up but wont be stronger to make it stronger requires nutrients like protein so when the tears heal the muscle becomes denser and more fibers and harder to tear if they heal without added protein after they heal the result is sore arms.
supplements are a waste of money and makes you hungry drinking nothing but milkshakes so just eat healthy and more protein than usual.
but the determining factor me friends told me to make this work you need to stick to the diet and routine and workout but unfortunetly youll need the right gene's to figure who you are its simple.
a MESOMORPH
* Athletic
* Hard body with well defined muscles
* Rectangular shaped body
* Strong
* Gains muscle easily
* Gains fat more easily than ectomorphs
a ECTOMORPH
* Small “delicate” frame and bone structure
* Classic “hardgainer”
* Flat chest
* Small shoulders
* Thin
* Lean muscle mass
* Finds it hard to gain weight
* Fast metabolism
* cant build muscle but becomes more lean.
a ENDOMORPH
* Soft and round body
* Gains muscle and fat very easily
* Is generally short and “stocky”
* Round physique
* Finds it hard to lose fat
* Slow metabolism
* cant build as much muscle as the mesomorph but can get more muscle than the ectomorph
* can build more muscle than the Ectomorph
Thanks man, but should mention I've some years of experience in the gym, and use supplements to fairly good success. Just looking forums to knock around ideas, routines, etc. I mostly lift for strength.
yeah it would be kind of nice to have some 'community support' with workouts and stuff *nods* i havent been to the gym in almost a week because i just dont have time x.x; stupid skewl! >.<!
Would be great if there was a community support for sure in Fa not just that but it would give an insight that not all furs just sit on their coms and be on the internet all day. Also good for personal health as well.
There are a bunch of us musclefurs on FA actually. You might be interested in tkc2021's "Official Musclefurs" List if you want to have a goal to shoot for this year:

There's a small group. I check it periodically, but I feel like it hasn't attracted most of the lifters in the FA community
or you could try www.musclegrowth.org it is a bodybuilding forum but it also supports muscle fantasy and other muscle-related communities
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1832993/
Some of us post regular journals with what we are doing for routines, progress reports, etc.
And some of us will be doing podcasts on furry-muscle.org too.
Hope that helps somewhat.
