Things are disappearing out of my apartment without a trace.
About a month ago I noticed a model I had of a Harley Davidson Soft Tail vanished after sitting in the same spot for 3 months. Box and all.
I collect comic books and I have almost every issue of Genus. I ordered some back issues a few days ago and today they came in the mail. I was putting my new comics in the box I store them in and my Genus #10 & #30 are gone.
I looked everywhere. I mean everywhere even my room mates rooms and the dumpster.
Nada.
*scratches head*

Well another issue of Genus is gone. I went into the closet to check on my stuff just now and I noticed that something in my comic box was poking out on the side toward the back. I unlocked the bag my box was sitting in and pulled it out. Sure enough my folios were sitting cockeyed and the top left corner of the first 3 were bend forward as if someone tried putting their arm into the bag to try to yank something out. I looked through my Genus comics and #40 is gone.
How does this keep happening? Every time its been a Genus. Call me crazy but it seems to me someone is deliberately targeting my Genus collection. I mean I own almost 300 comics plus folios. I have almost the entire run of the Catwoman series that started in 89. I have one comic in there from 74. I have some early issues of Omaha The Cat Dancer. I have every single comic
Skunkworks has ever published plus 18 of his prints and 10 of his folios, yet its just my Genus issues that seem to be vanishing.

the bathroom light was on and the door was shut. I really don't know what to make of it.
He immediately became defensive and rattled off reason why it couldn't of been him then he looks me right in the eyes with a smirk on his face and says "You can't prove it was me."

Someone not only took a large chunk of my various collections. but someone also stole my very first fursuit. That last was quite a blow as I had made it myself (badly but it was still an acomplishment.)
Least wasnt a roommate in that case.
Early Genus comics can potentially sell for quite a high price so if your roommate is stealing them then hes likely made a fair amount off them if he knew the value and where to sell them.
In all honesty, if he was smirking and daring you to prove he did it then thats the point where you boot his ass out. If hes stealing personal items then what next? You could end up loosing alot more.
I couldn't agree with you more. I already told the management what has been going on and they are in agreement that it could have only been one of my room mates. However I have no evidence he did it so I can't have him kicked out.
